What Does It All Mean??? DD?

What are all these abbreviations? I have tried to read them in context and must be stupid, I just cant figure them out. An of course I started my question right away without thinking up more of them first so DD is the only one I can think of at the moment but you know all the ones I am talking about. I get the old schol MIL or ADD, even TMI but I always feel so out of the loop. As if this were the least of my worries. It was just the easiest of my questions to get out. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

OK so If the D was in front of my name it would be for dumb. I have already recieved 3 responses and I was so far off. I alsways thought the D was for sure something perhaps "divorced", "disabled', "delinquent" but dear??? Never crossed my mind.

There are a lot of medical terms for mental disorders on here that are abbreviated. I usually have to ask.

I thought LOL meant Lots of Love for the longest time. Only when I asked my teen why he was sending love to his bud did he explain that one to me. Yeah, that was a Dumb Mom moment.

There are a lot of things I hate about them but the biggest is that they are lazy. For whatever reason people think it is acceptable to use the initials of anything they don't want to take the time to type out.

This wouldn't be a problem in itself except that because it is any time they are too lazy to type you end up with the same initials for different things. So not only are you reading something that is a huge run on sentence, forget about paragraphs but you are also having to look at these initials for context to figure out what they heck they are talking about.

All this from someone who wants help!

My favorite is when you just give up and don't answer and then they start a why doesn't anyone reply to my questions question.

*headdesk* !

honestly, i never understand what it means either, and usually ignore abbreviations, as if they intended for everyone to know, then it wouldnt have been abbreviated in the first place! :)
