I need help! I want to get my something for Valentines day, but I hate corny gifts. He spent a lot of money on me for Christmas and I want to get him something special. I'm sure he'll get me something and I know he made reservations at a very pricy restaurant already.

What can I do next?

The something special is you...
Considering getting some nice lace items from some place like Lover Lane and so when you get back from the restaurant he can unwrap his gift. Add some chocolate and strawberries to the mix. What fun...

I love Mary Kay's newest fragrance for men called High Intensity Cologne, especially when it is my man who is wearing it. :) It comes in a Cologne, and also has Body & Hair Shampoo and After Shave Balm. Let me know if you want me to mail you a cologne sample to try. You can also look more on my website: www.marykay.com/lwagner3.
Glad you get to be the one to raise your son, I decided to stay home with my son Levi 2 years ago, and don't regret a minute of it. I actually work from home thru MK. Glad you get the best of both worlds, hope I can help you find a great Valentines gift! L. Wagner-Albertson

What are HIS love languages? sounds like 'gifts' if he is a big giver. But how do YOU feel most loved? Time, Service, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch? Find out. (I recommend "the five love languages" by Gary Chapman) Love is not about money. How about a coupon book filled w/ things you will do for him and things you can do together as a couple and also as a family? Back rub, clean the car, make a favorite meal, go to the theater, movie, zoo, beach....make an "at home vacation", read together or to him (dress the part like a Shakespear play)....the ideas are only limited by your imagination.

Or throw a spa night and HE gets to be the tech!

have fun....

This is a pretty expensive idea but it was the most well received gift I ever got my ex husband. We were both big sports fans so I bought him tickets to the ESPY's. It was Valentine's weekend so it really worked out well. They sell the tickets at Ticketmaster. At the time it was held in Vegas so the weekend trip actually wasn't all the much money. I got really cheap flights & a super cheap hotel. The tickets for the ESPY's were maybe $50 a piece. Whole trip was about $550. Minus gambling money, but I think we actually came back with what we took ;)

Anyway I think the ESPY's are in CA now. So it might be a more expensive trip, unless you have friends out there.

If your husband is into sports or a particular team . . .I'd say that is always a good way to go. Great seats to a game with a cool sweatshirt or something.

What is he really into? Hit him with a gift around that. You should have seen my husband's friends when he told them I got him a trip to the ESPY's:)

If you are looking towards getting him romantic "items" for the bedroom, I am actually a Surprise Lady for Surprise Parties. We sell items that help couples find that spark of intimacy again, and help single ladies with their product needs as well. Normally, a person hosts a party in her home with all her girlfriends. It doesn't cost anything. I bring all the product with me, you take it home with you THAT NIGHT! There are products for both women and men. We sell things like lotions, potions, lingerie and yes, a few things that go buzz in the night. But overall, everything is presented in a VERY tasteful and professional presentation, and shopping is done in a private shopping room so no one knows what you are purchasing. If this is something you are interested in, you can give me a call. My number is ###-###-#### and my web store is www.ashleyrice.surpriseparties.com! Have a romantic Valentine's Day!

Since we don't know your man's interests, I'll tell you my husband enjoys gifts that are "manly." One of his favorite gifts was his grilling set. I got him a bunch of things for his outdoor grill, and you know what...he was out there grilling in the snow the very next day. Never underestimate the power of a "manly gift."

I've got some great "manly" grilling gifts. Check out my website for more information...don't forget to look at what is on clearance in the outlet specials section.

Don't know how much you want to spend so...here's a few ideas with a few different price ranges:

-Custom burned CD with all his favorite songs - or favorite mood-enhancing songs
- 2 Really nice tickets to a favorite musical concert or live event that you can enjoy together
- An I-pod nano or (really cool.... I-pod touch- 8 gb - best price at Costco - around $200! (if he doesn't already have one)
- A picture frame collage with many candid pictures of you, him and your son. Michael's has some very nice collage frames. So does Pier 1
- A nice piece of jewelry, like a watch - (you can be a little corny and have a cute saying like.. "I'll always have time for YOU!" - you can get away with corniness on Valentine's Day!)

- And lastly - I'm hoping my husband buys this for me very soon because, after 20 years, I will know it is TRUE LOVE! (A snowthrower!)

Enjoy!
