I have a lot of used magazines and I hate to throw them all away without asking what do you do with your used magazines? Any advise would be helpful. They range from Real Simple to Parenting, etc.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

They have something at the Flower Mound Library called "MagShare" where you simply drop your magazines off, and they'll share them with visitors. There are also bins sorted that you can take magazines whenever you'd like as well. I'm not sure if they Sanger library has a similar system.

I also ask friends. Simply bring a stack of magazines with you the next time you meet for playgroup or dinner, and I"m sure you'll get some takers.

I don't know where you live, but McKinney library once a month. The first Saturday of the month actually has Magazine Exchange day. You drop off your old magazines and can leave them or take a few that someone else has dropped off. All that is left over is recycled. I go almost every month. Take a lot and come home with a new receipe, etc. Sometimes a preschool uses them too, for the kids to practice cutting things out. Hope this helps.

I would love to meet you somewhere and take them off of your hands. We just decided today in my church youth group to use old magazines to cut pictures and make folder games and little books to send to Africa. The first activity is on Wed. so if I could grab them, they would be put to good use. Just send me a message and let me know if that will work for you:) Thanks! ~A.~

A few ideas:
Recycle
Sell them to Half Price Books if they are current. I know they don't give a lot, but at least there's a chance they will be re-used.
Maybe your child's school could use them for projects?
Give to a nursing home/retirement center.

I have a ton of old magazines. I'm a regular subscriber of many

You get a tax deduction from local libraries for donations. Many schools use them , depending on the title. Sometimes I take them to my dental or Dr office if I
headed that way. Other times, I leave them in the locker room of the gym g
for other women.

Good luck!
