I'm hearing good and bad things about U-Verse. Is any one a fan and why?

What can I do next?

I love U-Verse. They have far and away the best customer service. They get things done. The service is great. The software is great and user-friendly. The only thing is that you really really really have to pay your bill on time. Like, really.

We haven't had one single issue with them. We bundle our landline and cable TV with them, and have excellent service for all three. We often do the price comparisons as we did when we first got U-Verse, and it always comes out as the best value especially when it comes to the channels, speed of service, and the customer service. They also take into account customer loyalty.

The only reasons we don't also have a cell phone contract with them is because I've had my cell phone with Verizon for far longer than I've had U-Verse or AT&T... gosh, 15 years now... and I love their service too. They're equally excellent. But also because if we lose phone service in a natural disaster or something with one company, then we need to be able to know we have it with the other.

So for instance if cell towers go down for Verizon, and we lose cell service, then at least we'll hopefully still have our landline. Or vice verse. And one way or the other we'll still have internet access.

I have had Uverse since it came to my area, maybe four years. It has never been down, they don't raise the rates for laughs so you have to call and negotiate them back down....in other words they are the polar opposite of Charter which is our only other choice if we want a cable product.

Their service is great. If a unit goes down they can usually get someone out the next day to replace it. I work all day so they ship it next day, I swap it out, and then they pick up the old unit.

So glad I switched.

We have had U-Verse for a couple of years now and have had no problems. I'm quite satisfied with their service.

We have U-Verse and no problems. We have several tv's and you can record mutliple shows. Also, if there is ever a problem Customer Support has always been great (even I can do it). If there's been a problem with billing, easy, friendly customer service. Every once in awhile they send a coupon for a free movie. If fact, it's been 2 yrs and they sent us a coupon to say thank you; one coupon for $15 take of your choice and a free movie coupon. No complaints here.....

For office internet with a static IP address for your internal router - don't do it. The new router they send you causes conflicts with your current router. For home use - well, you have some responses for those. I am looking forward to Google Fiber - tired of Time Warner, AT&T and Grande.

U-verse has been bombarding us with letters to switch and great promotional offers at our old neighborhood. Had planned to get u-verse at our new neighborhood, but have found out that it is not wired here yet. So right now, I am not a fan of u-verse.
