I have posted previously that my Daughter throws up easily when she cries or has a cold. Recently she had coxsakie and some diarrhea. The coxsakie lasted for almost two weeks. During the last week she has been throwing up more. Mainly associated with mucus and the cough, but on occasion without that. I am getting so nervous. Why is she randomly throwing up. She should be fine by now After she throws up, a ton, she is fine. Seems also to be after bottles of milk which she has never had an issue with before. I am freaking out because i read that vomiting can be a sign of a brain tumor. I did talk to her Dr yesterday. I am so worried.
She does not have a brain tumor. What did the doctor say?
some kids are just more sensitive and throw up more easily when mucous and something touches their uvula at the back of their throat. Coughing will cause those sensitive to throw up. I would try to relax and not worry.
It is extremely rare for a child to have a brain tumor. Dismiss that thought from your mind so that you can have peace of mind.

How do you act when your daughter throws up? Do you dote all over her? Do you give her a lot of attention? If you do, YOU might be the reason she does it. I would stop giving her any attention other than cleaning her up. Really look at how you might be contributing to this. Kids want attention, and they will do strange things sometimes in order to get it.
If you feel that this couldn't possibly be the case, then take her to a pediatric gastroenterologist. They'll probably do a lot of invasive tests. Before you go that route, really think about how you react to her being sick.

Well, milk can increase mucus production or cause existing mucus to become thicker, which I'm sure she already has a ton of from being sick. Also, her gag reflex may be becoming more sensitive due to all the recent throwing up. Lastly, as Dawn says, your response to her may also be part of the problem.

I would check w a pediatrician first. But if your daughter gets a clean bill of health she probably is throwing up to get your attention. My sister used to do this when we were young. If she didn't get her way she would cry and throw up. She was a sensitive child.
during and after any stomach bug i eliminate milk for at least a week. My daughter had some weird bug that she would act totally fine but even after a sip of milk she would vomit. My ped said that a lot of times your body develops a intolerance to milk during viruses and just steer clear. if she seems to puke after her bottle of milk, dont give it to her.
