Sonograms

I found out last week that I am pregnant. I went to the dr and they ssid i was 5 weeks due May 20. Well when i had a sonogram because i was having pains all they could see is a sac, but notting in it. They told me it is probably because i am so early. I have another one scheduled for Wed and the dr told me that by then we will be able to see something. Has anyone been threw this?? Now im worried that nothing is in there.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I went to the dr today and the did an ultrasound and you can still barely see something, but you can see and hear the heartbeat.. im so excited that it went ok.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and letting me know about your experinces

Hi S., I had this same thing when I was pregnant with my first child. I was about 4-5 weeks along when they did mine. I had a miscarriage 5 months before that.So I was worried that I would loss that one too. All I seen was the sac and nothing else. They did another one at 8weeks and then i could see the heart and everything was fine. I'm sure you will have the same thing. Good luck ! Dottie. You can email if you have more questions.

You know What is meant to be will be and God will have his way. You are in my thoughts and prayers and the best will always come!! love you girl and I am here if you need me.

S.,
I haven't been through this but my best froend just did and the dr was right it was just too early. The next week they saw the baby and the heatbeat!!! 5 weeks was too early for them to see the baby as well!

S.,
I had a very similar situation happen to me. There was only a sac and it continued to grow, I did not find out until I was 12 weeks and not to scare you but they had to do a DNC to remove the sac because it did not come out on it's own. Just pray that next week when you have your sonogram that they are able to find the baby. If they don't find a baby then you will most likely miscarriage on your own or they will have to do a DNC. I hope everything comes out just fine and they find the baby next week. I will keep you in my prayers.

With my second I wasnt told there was only a sac but during one of my first visits my doctor could not find a heartbeat on a sonogram or on the dobbler. It was so scary just sittingthere with my husband listening to her search for it and just hearing alot of growns and fluid in my stomace move around and watching her look concerned and confused. She searched and searched and ended up hearing a very faint sound of a heartbeat just for a second but wasnt able to find it a second time to confirm so I had to go home for a week and wait. She said maybe it was just to early.I went back and his hearteat was alot stronger...she still had concerns b/c it wasnt AS strong as she was hoping but all ended up well and other than him getting pnemonia at birth due to my strep he had no other problems. Its prob just to early,it
ll prob be fine.

You are very early so keep that in mind. Don't worry yourself too much right now. Have faith and know many are praying for you. Let us know what the doctor says after you go back in. I feel sure it will be a much better result! In Christ! S.

When I was pregnant with my now seven year old, I went to the ob and my urine test was negative but my blood work had very low levels of hcg.
I had an ultrasound and they could not find anything.
I had a wonderful, healthy full term baby.

You are will be fine.
Best wishes with this pregnancy.
