Seeking Family or Geriatric Doctor Fom Mom

I am the primary caretaker/advocate for my husband's grandfather. When he moved here, we had a hard time finding any geriatric doctors in or around Plano area. We finally found Dr. Anthony on Spring Creek in Plano.

You may have to wait a few weeks for an appt with his office but they have a great office. We have discovered that there are very few geriatric doctors around the metroplex.

My 82-yr-old mother moved in with me in 2007. At the recommendation of my own primary care family physician, she sees Dr John Treer here in Frisco as her primary care physician. After doing a little research, I found him to be one of very few, if not the only, GP who accepts Medicare patients here in the Frisco area. His office is in one of the Doctors Pavillions next to Centennial Hospital. While I really like the care Dr Treer has given my mom (he always stopped in twice a day to see her during a short hospital stay) his office staff is very inefficient. If you can look past that, Dr Treer is a good choice. Here's his info:

Hi Kim I work for a large skilled nursing and rehab company in texas, we have five facilities located in Collin County, any way their is a physician name Dr. Zafar located in Plano who has good bed side manners and he and his partners go to a number of hospitals in the area. Other doctor's in the area are Dr. Treer located in Frisco. Anyway I hope this helps.
