Hi ladies! I am about 7 weeks prego with number 3 and I need your recommendations for an OB/GYN practice that you love. I am going to be changing practices, but feel awkward about going to see a new one blindly or by picking a name out of the phone book. I live in Sanford so I prefer one not too deep into Orlando, especially since my husband likes to leave work to meet me at my appointments too. I would be more convenient to have one closer to us, but I am willing to travel if they are "that good". I was also hoping to deliver at either Sanford Hospital (right by my house) or Longwood Hospital (where I had a good experience with the birth of my last child). I do prefer a woman OB/GYN, but as any of you know who have had babies- by the end you dont care who is looking down there!!! LOL. Mainly, I want a doctor who is thorough and has a great bed side manner....any suggestions????

What can I do next?

I go to advanced women's health in Lake Mary (Dr. Goss and Dr. Parker - I love them both but the practice is getting a little too big for my liking) - they are less personal than they used to be....I was actually going to suggest Dr. Sweet - he has a mid-wife in his practice Lesanne Dwyer who used to work with Dr. Goss and who delivered my 2nd child whi is quite simply - wonderful!

My OB/GYN is Dr. Sweet with Florida Women's Center. I know you were prefering a female but he is fantastic. I saw only him during both of my pregnancies and he was the one who delivered both of my girls even though he was not on-call either time and they were both on Sunday's. He said since I only saw him that he would do the deliveries. He has an awesome bedside manner as well! His main office is in Altamonte but he sees patients in Lake Mary 2 days a week as well (that's where I go). I had both of my girls at Florida Hospital Altamonte but I think he also delivers at South Seminole in Longwood. We live in Deltona and still made the drive to Altamonte. Congratulations on the pregnancy and let me know if you need their number or address!

You can try Dr. Clyde Climer in Longwood. His office is in the medical building attached to South Seminole Hospital in Longwood. He did not deliver my son, but after my O.B. that did moved away, my records got sent to this office and I have been going there ever since. He is in his 50's, and there is another male doc and a female too in his office. The nurse practioner, Margie is great too. It is a larger practice.

I am pregnant with #2 and am seeing my same OB/GYN as the first time. He is WONDERFUL. Great bedside manner, great personality and I have always felt comfortable with him. His name is Dr. Enyart and is with Florida Women's Center in Altamonte ###-###-####. I delivered at Florida Hospital Altamonte and had to have a c-section and he did a wonderful job with that as well. I highly recommend him and I for one, prefer Altamonte Hospital over Longwood ( I live in Longwood). Hope this helps.

I really liked Obgyn specialists in Oviedo and Winter Park. They have 11 dr. (6 women) and 4 NP (all women). I tried to see as many different doctors as possible because you never know who will be on call when you go into labor, but it worked out that the one doctor I saw the most was the one who delivered my daughter. The only thing you might not like is that they one deliver at Winner Palmer (which I loved!) but it's not one of the ones that you listed.
