Need to Find an OB GYN Any Suggestions?
I moved to SE Orlando 3 years ago and never bothered to find a gynocologist. I just found out I am pregnant with my second child this week and also receive an invitation to this site. Talk about great timing!! I thought what better place to ask a bunch of moms if they have an OB GYN they can recommend. I'm looking for an OB GYN who has all the medical qualifications but also someone who is friendly and caring. Believe it or not, my last OB GYN was not these things.

Welcome to Orlando!
I have been working as a Lamaze educator and doula in the area for 10 years and I definitely have my favorites. Picking the right practice will have a lot to do with what kind of birth you are wanting. Here are some of my favorites:
LochHaven OB/Gyn - deliver ONLY at Florida Hospital (Orlando)
Drs. Hill, Hoover, Lense, Walker, Hamm, Jackson, Boone, and Caccitore
Devoted to Women - deliver ONLY at Florida Hospital (Altamonte)
Dr. Craig deFreese
Advanced Women's - deliver at South Seminole & FL Hospital (Altamonte)
Drs. Parker, Quincy & Goss, they also have 4 midwives in their practice
There are also 2 wonderful birth centers: The Birth Place in Winter Garden and Special Beginnings in College Park. The Birth Place is owned/operated by Jennie Joseph, LM. Special Beginnings has 2 midwives (Sandy Williamson, owner, and Cathy Rudolph). Special Beginnings also delivers at Florida Hospital (Orlando) and LochHaven OB/Gyn are their back-up doctors.
Hope this helps.

I have tried several ob gyns in the past several years and my favorite doctor is Dr. Kristin Jackson. She is part of Loch Haven OB in Orlando, FL, near FL Hospital Orlando South. I live in Oviedo and have no problem driving to her office. She is very kind and knowledgeable. She is also a mom of 2 children and understands what women go through with labor and delivery, etc. She is board certified and I believe all the doctors are from her group. The other doctors are great, but I only see her since she is my favorite. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck with your pregnancy and God Bless you.

Hi L.
My doctor is Dr. Sarvotham. She is located near the Altamonte mall. (I wish I had her # handy, but I don't! Sorry!) She delivered 3 of my sister's children and my daughter a year and a half ago. I was VERY comfortable with her and was able to ask her anything that was on my mind. (She has a nurse practitioner who is nice, but I still prefer Dr. Sarvotham)

I go to OB & GYN Specialist, I specifically see Dr. Bhullar and have been completely satisfied with the services I get. I highly recommend Dr. Bhullar as he is very nice, he is also very intelligent and seems to keep up with what's new in medicine.
I've seen some of the other doctors in the practice as well but have not always been satisfied with some of them. The only other doctor I liked was Dr. D'Heureux-Jones. I've seen Paula Mix and Carolyn (I can't remember her last name) who are ARNP's and they were nice too.
They have an office in Oviedo, Winter Park and Sandlake. It sounds like their Sand Lake office would be closest to you. Their appointments phone number is ###-###-####.
Hope this helps.

I am sure by now you have chosen an obgyn..but i wanted to tell you and anyone who may read this...I had an excellent obgyn...Dr Fritz and Dr Gibbs...they work together in downtown Orlando. They are excellent and came to see me every day i was in the hospitol. We were there for 4 days and they came in multiple times during the day. I delivered at Arnold Palmer and had exceelent care there. I almost didnt want to go home!! I am a young mother and do not like the idea of having to go to the gyno...they made it very comfortable for me. hope this helps a bit!!!
