Plainfield, IL Mom Wanting to Start a Local Playgroup

I live in the Plainfield area too, and have also been looking for a play group! My little boy is only 6 weeks old, but I know that the library offers some activities where you could possibly find other moms for a play group and there is also a site called BigBellyFitness.com, that offers programs and activities in the plainfield/naperville area like stroller walks and things like that. There is a cost for those programs, but you would be able to meet other moms and set up playdates and groups through there! I hope that helps! :)

Try meetup.com. I am sure there are at least a handful of groups like these :) Also, check momsclub.org to see if a local group is in your area (I believe so). If you don't see it listed, it does not mean that it doesn't exist... the group may just not have a website and/or linked to International site.

Check out meetup.com, they may already have playgroups going in your area.

I have a 16th month od also and I belong to a group called MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). It meets about 2 Thursdays a month. We meet @ Messiah Lutheran Church. Hi T., my family and I just moved to Plainfield and I would love to get involved with my little one in a playgroup-especially a new one. I know there are some currently in the area, an easy way to find them is on Meetup.com. That being said, if you decide to start one I would be interested in joining you. My daughter is only ten months so a little younger than yours. Also, if you think you might want to try a class with your daughter I am in the process of starting a new dance class in downtown Plainfield called Salsa Babies. Hi T.,

There are 2 playgroups that I am involved in in your area. They are both on meetup.com. They are Tiny Tots of Plainfield and Little Sunshines of Shorewood. I highly recommend these groups. There are activities almost every day and you can choose which ones you would like to go to. The moms are extremely nice and welcoming also. Hope this helps, and if you join, I'll see you soon!
