Playgroup in Naperville for 15 Month Old Son

I am new to the Naperville area and am interested in attending a playgroup for my 15 month old son. Unfortunately, we have not met many neighbors with children in this age group. My son also has a playroom full of toys, so I would be willing to host. I live in the Brookwood Trace area around Plainfield/Naperville Rd & 87th.

What can I do next?

There is a group on Yahoo groups called Dupage County Moms Cafe they have social gatherings and playgroups for kids at various places every month.

Beth,

I live in Darien (near 75th & Cass) and am a proud mommy to my 18 month-old son. We, too, have not met many neighbors with young children in our neighborhood and so I am constantly on the lookout for a playgroup with toddler-age children. I have met some really nice moms through the Downers Grove Meetup Group. If you go to meetup.com, do a search for area groups you'd like to participate in (many are free, and for those that do charge membership dues it is a very small amount) and sign up, you can find lots of fun things to do. In fact, I just recently joined and have already been to two playgroups and out for two other group activities. But if that's not what you're looking for, and you're interested, my son and I would be happy to meetup with you both sometime for a mini-playdate. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi Beth,
I belong to a group called PACES (parent and child education and support organization). There are many benefits for it's members including playgroups! There are also newsletters, seminars, parent education meeting, mom's night out, toto otuings, etc. I am the new Regional Coordinator for the Downers Grove/ Woodridge/ LaGrange area however we have a Naperville region as well. If you're interested you can visit the website at www. pacesmoms.com or feel free to email me back for more information! Playgroups are only one of the many things that PACES offers it's members, you should check it out, annual membership is only $32 and it's worth every penny!!!!
Hope this helps,
R.

Let me know if you host a playgroup. I have an 11 month old daughter. I also moved out here from Chicago (Lakeview area). There are a lot of toddlers in my subdivision, but not around my daughter's age.

Hi~~

We have just de-playgrouped, my fifteen month old son was much too young for the mostly three-year-old group. We are on the corner of 95th and 59, relatively new to the area as well, and always willing to meet new playmates. Let me know if you decide to start something up!
