Can anyone suggest a moms' group/playgroup in the east mesa/gilbert area? My daughter is 8 months old and I'm looking for an opportunity to meet other moms and for her to meet other children.

What can I do next?

Mothers & More is great. It doesn't forget about us moms! The East Valley chapter's website is www.azmothersandmore.com and the national website is www.mothersandmore.org.

I recommend joining MOMS Club. Check out www.momsclub.org to find your local chapter. They have activities with the kids during the day, playgroups, and Mom's Night Out once a month, plus it's just a good support and network, and it's super cheap to join (my chapter is $23/yr). I joined it when my husband starting traveling and I really enjoy it. I joined for me but my kids love the fun activities and socializing with other kids. I know so much more about things to do with kids locally now.

I attend a Christian moms' playgroup that meets at different parks every Tuesday morning. So far our range has been from Val Vista to McQueen. If you're interested, let me know: ____@____.com you're looking for further East, there's a Christian moms' group based out of Queen Creek that you can find on meetup.com.

Also, for non-religious SAHM groups, you could try the MOMS clubs, which have local chapters everywhere: http://www.momsclub.org/

Good luck!

Hi!
I help organize a little mom's group through my church. We're fairly small so it's easy to get to know everyone. We have a pretty wide range of ages, but mostly babies. The church is on Stapley and university and we meet on Thursdays at 11, sometimes at the church, sometimes at a park or somewhere else fun like that. You can contact me if you're interested and I can keep you updated on where we're meeting.

I delivered at Banner Baywood Hospital and they offer a Mom's support group every Friday from 10-1130 at the Women's Center, 1st Floor in the Copper Room. Babies range from newborns up to 10 months currently. A postpartum nurse and lactation consultant are also there, but it is a good time to have your baby around other babies, exchange information and make mom friends! It is free and open to anyone.

You can also try a MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) group near you. It is a fun way to get to know other moms once per week while your child plays in childcare. You can check out the website www.mops.org or email me at ____@____.com for more info. ;)

I live in the area and my daughter will be 8 months on Saturday...I'm not part of a group but always willing to meet new people.

Also, I have you tried Gymboree Classes? You could meet some other people there.

Good luck!

there are a lot of moms that meet at candelight park on Stapely/Brown (just 1 rural street east of Stapely and about 1/2 mile north on Brown. Most of the moms i know go on occasional Wednesdays... it's not always consistant though. Usually, we just start calling each other when one of us needs to get out, and we meet there! We'd love to have you join us sometime! do you have contact info--an email you check frequently?
