Hi there,
my daughter's pediatrician is dr. Cohen at newton-wellesley hospital. He is very blunt & to the point which i did not like at first but now i love because i realized he is like that because he knows his stuff. He's been a pediatrician for many years so he has seen pretty much everything. Sorry i don't have the phone # on me but you can probably google it.

I too am for Dr. Elkort at Pediatrics at Newton Wellesley. He is a compassionate phenomenal pediatrician. He listens to parents. I am a pediatric nurse at Children's and I highly recommend Dr. Elkort. I also interviewed a number of pediatrician's before my child was born 5 years ago. Best of luck in your search.

Hi!
My son sees Dr David Landis at Pediatric Associates of Weelsley, which is actually in Weston, on RT30, down the street from the Newton Marriott on the other side of the Mass Pike)don't need to go on the pike)...He's very soft spoken and great w/ my 7 year old and clinically he's wonderful. And the other docs and nurses in the practice are great too. The practice has urgent care hours on weekends also.
Good luck

We love Dr. Elkort at Pediatrics at Newton-Wellesley. He's a great doc who makes you feel great about your parenting. He's also very willing to discuss and explain anything and everything with you. We interviewed a number of docs/practices when our son was born almost 7 months ago. Elkort was the doc for us.

I also recommend Pediatric at Newton Wellesley. Our pediatrician is Dr. Reuter who has been really great. Through the years we have seen the other doctors in the practice including Dr. Elcort and have been extremely satisfied with the care they have given as well. The receptionists and the nurses have always been very pleasent. Many relatives also see Dr. Reuter and Dr. Elcort. This office also has weekend hours for "sick" visits. Hope this helps.

One of the best is Dr. Roger Spingarn and his partner Dr. Benjamin on Centre Street in Newton Centre. They were highly recommended when I first moved to Newton 12 years ago and I wasn't disappointed. My kids are grown up now and in fact use him for their kids. There used to be a great FANTASTIC nurse practitioner as well. The practice is popular so may not be taking new patients but it is worth asking. RK

We have a wonderful pediatrician at Newton/Wellesley hospital. His name is Dr. Charles Brown, and yes, he wears Charlie Brown ties. He and his wife have 6 children. He is very sweet and soft spoken. We moved from Seattle and a number of folks we ran into recommended Dr. Brown.

Good luck and welcome to Newton!

I highly recommend Dr. Elissa Rottenberg who works at Dr. Spingar's practice in Newton Centre. I NEVER wait in the office for my scheduled appointments. Dr. Rottenberg is also a mom of young children and my daughter is very comfortable with her. She provides a level of service that is rare these days. Dr. Rottenberg will actually call your house to follow up with you days after you bring your child in for a cold just to be sure your child is improving and to make sure you don't have any additional questions. The weekend coverage in the office is also amazing. I always get called back immediately and I've even been able to bring my daughter in on a Saturday. It was nice to have that option to avoid having to take her to sit in the Emergency room for hours on end.

I also noted that a few people recommended Dr. Charles Brown. I am happy to hear that he is still practicing! Dr. Brown was actually my pediatrician 25 years ago. I must admit that as a 3 and 4 year old I thought Dr. Brown was very intimidating and scary but I was probably just being sensitive. I have not had any experience with him since then but after 25 years, I'd assume he's very experienced!

Thanks,

A.

Hello. My LO goes to the Dr. Brown office too. We have seen 3 of the doctors in that practice and they are all GREAT. Dr. Gwon there is also a lactation consultant so she was a HUGE help when I was nursing.

Dr. Dominguez is actually our primary care pedi and I LOVE him to death. He is perfect. I have never ever felt rushed.

The office is part of the Newton Wellesley Hospital so if you ever need any tests done, you don't have to go somewhere else - it is all right there.

They also have a walk-in clinic Mon-Fri 8am - 9:30, and do same day apptmts in the afternoon when you need it. They are even open on Sat mornings.

I highly recommend them!

Good luck.
