Seeking OBGYN and Pediatrician in the Boston Area

I am new to Wayland from Miami. I'm a SAHM to a 16 month old. We are looking for a good pediatrician and OBGYN (I'm also 2 mos pregnant). Does anybody have any feedback? What hospital in the area has the nicest birthing unit?

Thanks,

J.

What can I do next?

I grew up in Sherborn (other side of Natick)...I delivered both my girls at Newton Wellesley Hospital and had a great experience for both. I take my girls to Holliston Pediatrics, but that may be a little drive for you from Wayland. In Wellesley, there is Harvard Vanguard, and they have all different services there...Pedi's, OBGYN, Primary Care...ect. It is very convient for the whole family. My OBGYN there was Dr. Ruth Fretts and she was wonderful. They are in Wellesley on Rte. 9.

the brigham and womens hospital is by far the best hospital i believe. i had my son there and excellent care nurses private room great view if you are on 9 or 10th floor. the best part is they have room service to order food. you can order from a menu and have 3 course meal any time of day and is better than cafeteria food. this is included in your hospital stay. my ob-gyn was dr geenburg. his office is out of faulkner hospital located in jamaica plain mass but they also have a brrokline office and there is a dr. kline ( not sure of the spelling) and an excellent dr. miner ( she was awesome). dr greenburh number is ###-###-#### i believe that is the right number if not you can call hospital ###-###-#### and ask for dr greenburhs office. hope this helps. my friend also had her children at newton-wellesley hospital and said she had great care there also. you can look online for doctors affiliated with that hospital. good luck.

I would recommend my OB/gyn - Dr. Kobelin. He practices in Lexington and also has office hours in downtown Boston one day a week (at Beth Israel - which is where he delivers). He is wonderful and the other drs. that are in the practice were great too (as he may not be the one who delivers). I also really liked Beth Israel.

Hi J.,

I moved to the area from Miami in 2002 - welcome! I gave birth at Newton-Wellesley hospital (my OB is with Wellesley Women's Care) and our sons go to Weston Pediatrics. We are very pleased with all our doctors, contact me if you need more information!
