This may be a bit further than you want to travel, but I give rave review to Kids Plus Pediatric Dentistry. They have offices in Hoffman Estates and Chicago. Both dentists are awesome. You can find out much more at their website, http://www.kidspluspediatricdentistry.com/

Children's Dentistry in Park Ridge. Dr. Kenney (male) and Dr. Connell (female) both are OUTSTANDING!! My girls (3 & 1) LOVE them both. Their staff is very friendly as well. We live in Glenview, but would rather drive to Park Ridge to see them, versus find a pediatric dentist here in Glenview...they are wonderful and totally worth the 25 min. drive.
Here's their contact info. ###-###-#### 101 S. Washington Ave. Park Ridge, 60068 www.care4kidsteeth.com
Not sure if they accept Delta Dental...but it just takes a quick phone call to find out.

Good Luck finding someone to fit your families needs....but I HIGHLY recommend them.

I have to jump in here and mention that I had a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience with Shar Fadavi-Rudsari of North Suburban Dental Associates in Skokie!!!

It was my son's first trip to the dentist and he was very nervous. I thought that was normal enough and he was not behaving badly (really, I'm not the mom that can't see when her own child is behaving inappropriately). Fadavi said he was putting on a show because I let him. Yeah, she's "no nonsense" and also no compassion. After she had the hygienist pin him down in the chair for the cleaning, she tried to force those horrible big bite-down things in his little THREE YEAR OLD mouth for an x-ray. When he resisted and gagged and cried, she again suggested that it was my parenting that lead to the problem.

She also wanted to set up an appointment ASAP to fill in his deep molars. AT THREE YEARS OLD. yea, let's gag him some more because it's a nice costly visit. Of coarse, i didn't take him back. my new dentist is not suggesting this procedure until our next visit - he is 7 yrs old now.

The worst part is that I didn't stand up for my child. I should have given her a piece of my mind, comforted my child and run out of there. But instead, I tried to listen to the "Expert" and, in spite of the insult, cooperated with her instructions by standing in the corner and watching my child be tortured.

It was then and still is the lowest moment of my parenting life. I did learn to trust my instincts and be an advocate for my children.

ANYWAY, enough of my rant.

I now take my kids to Maria Simone at North Shore Dentistry for Children. She is so compassionate and sweet and doesn't make three year olds do x-rays or try to drag you in for extra visits.

She also did a great job at our first visit with her... I explained that he had a bad experience so she made the visit extremely gentle and kind and fun.

She's at 1516 Sherman Ave in Evanston. ###-###-####

I've been very pleased thus far with Pediatric Dentist Shar Fadavi-Rudsari of North Suburban Dental Associates in Skokie. She was recommended to me by a dentist friend of mine who takes her own children to see her. Kid-centered office and a very no-nonsense approach. Good luck.

Hi, I just moved to Mt Prospect and received a welcome letter from Victoria Ursitti, DMD from All About Kids Dentistry, 1845 E Rand Rd, Arlington Hts - ###-###-####. Unfortunately I do not know anything about her but they specialize in kids so I was considering giving them a try. Perhaps someone on this board knows more info about her.
