Hi All,
From the last 1 week or so I am having this muscle pain (Not sure whether i should call it that). It started from my right wrist, then to the back of the left shoulder..I could not even raise my hand to put on clothes, then to the right wrist and then back of the knees, and inside elbow ( I mean not the elbow but the outer side). I am using Bengay almost daily and taking advil (taken twice so far). It aggravates in the evening ...I do not really notice the pain after morning. Why is the pain not going away? Right now also I am having pain in both my wrists and back of the left knee. Is it common during this season or its just like that?Just to let u know... I am 32 years old.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hi All,
This is in continuation of my above stated problem. I went to the doctor who examined me and told me that its some infection thats causing pain and she also checked me for cough which i have with phlegm (which does not come out of the throat). She has given me Amoxicillin for 7 days twice a day. Have u heard or experienced any muscle pain due to some infection? Its been 5 days now...but the muscle pain is only 25-30% treated...What do u think why isn't it going away completely?

I see u live in Edison, NJ. Go see Dr Freeman of the Freeman Pain Institue 102 James Street Suite 102 Edison ###-###-####. I have suffered GREATLY since my late teens & after tons of doctors who misdiagnosed me or said it was allin my head Dr Freeman helped me. He has a dry sense of humor BUT he listens to u, never judges & is VERY thourough! He figured out what was wrong & since what I have has no cure he has been able to maintain the level of my pain to a livable level. Even though I moved 2 hours away from him to Upstate NY I still make the trip to him every month & will continue! I hope what ever is ailing you has a quick remedy! HTH!

Get tested for Lyme disease. That is one of the symptoms, pain moving from one area to another.

do you have any other symptoms, like skin rashes or anything? I also had wrist and severe knee pain among other things, so I was recently tested for lupus, so I did tons of research, and the symptom of having pain in the same joint on both sides of the body could be attributed to that, though that is a big jump, of course! it could just be some arthritis, or perhaps you strained yourself somehow without realizing it?

Go see a chiropractor. It sounds like you have displacement of bones.

My son would get headaches, numbness in his right hand, and back pain. He fought me tooth and nail to go see a chiropractor. When he finally went, he was told that he had jammed his elbow, neck was out of alignment, and his back was slightly out of place....these were causing his symptoms.

You need to see a doctor. Can't think of anything that just comes on like that and involves different parts of the body. If you're in pain, you need to find out the cause. Good luck.

Have you been in the woods or near any place where there could be ticks? I would ask your doctor about the possibility of lime disease. Or it could be possible that you have injured your back which could be putting pressure on your nerves causing the pain. There are so many things it could be that only a doctor could really tell you what it is and then only after doing some tests. You should make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as you can cause it may be something that could get worse and quick treatment could be necessary to control it.
