We've lived in Frisco for about a year. My kids have been going to North Dallas Pediatric. Our doctor is Dr. Siebert. In the year we been going there we have never met her. We've just seen the doctor that is available since they all rotate between three offices.I'm not sure I'm happy with the practice. They put all the well kids and sick kids in the same waiting room. In January I will have my fouth child. I need to find a good doctor.I would like to find one that has lots of experience and is great with kids.

What can I do next?

We use Dr. Ronald Blair at Forest Lane Pediatrics and love him. We have also seen his partner Dr. Straughn and loved him. They have offices at Medical City and Presby Plano. Their phone number is ###-###-#### for the Medical City office. Hope that helps.

I live in Frisco as well. Willow Bend Pediatrics was recomended when we moved here and they are awesome. They are not the closest office but it's worth the drive. The staff is great and so are the Doctors. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes even on a last minute sick visit. They have seperate waiting rooms for sick and well children. I would recomend Dr. Michaels or Dr. Mehendale. The office is by Plano Presby. ###-###-####.

We also see Dr. Jay Schwartz of Collin County Pediatrics. He is the sole doctor in the practice so you are always guaranteed to see the same doc which is very important to my shy 4-year-old. His office is at Centennial Medical Center so he should be fairly close to your Frisco address. I just delivered my 4th baby and I have a 2, 4 and 6 year old. I was very pleased with the care Dr. Schwartz gave my newborn. He was present at the hospital to look after my newborn even before we were checked into a postpartum room which the nurses commented was typical of Dr. Schwartz but very unusual for a pediatrician to do. Dr. Schwartz is thorough, prompt, and direct which I appreciate. He even gave my older girls their vaccinations himself instead of having a nurse administer them. We have never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes and there are separate waiting rooms for sick visits and well visits.

I have taken my kids there, so I know what to mean. I have actually taken my kids several places because I was so over protective/reactive as a young mom. I just needed reassured my children weren't the one in a million to die of some easily cured ailment. Now we go to Dr.Sherrod. He is great. He has no problem with me coming in for what some my seem as nothing but a cold. He doesn't belittle or put me off and he is very professional, as are all his staff mambers. He has many awards on his walls so it isn't just my family that thinks he is so awesome. The waiting room is seperated in two little sections for well or sick but he also tries to scedule well and sick visits apart when posible. My new born can only go in at 8:30 or 1:30 because no other kids are in the office. I like that. Proactive. Any questions just PM me. I think he is what you are looking for.

we take our 6 month old son to Dr. Leslie Lestz at TLC pediatrics. We see our doctor at least 80% of the time and have only had to see the other doctor (Dr. Kaplan), on a few occassions. The office staff and nurses are very friendly and attentive. Dr. Lestz has three children of her own (2 boys and 1 girl) and is great with kids. My son absolutley loves her! She's very kind and even cried with me when I told her that I had to return to work after my 3 month maternity leave. They do put sick and well children in the same waiting room, however, they stagger the appointment times so that they are not there at the same time. You can check out her credentials on their website: http://www.tlcpedsfrisco.com/docs.htm
Good luck!

I am not familiar with that practice but we go to Dr Sutton at Pediatric Healthcare associates. It is in McKinney off Eldorado and Hardin. They are WONDERFUL there. They have a separate sick and well child waiting area and also schedule the appointments the way others say theirs do- so the overlap in the waiting area is minimal anyways. They are also there on Sat until 12 for sick children only, so if something comes up they can take you as a walk in sat...in fact I ahve to go in today because my baby woke up with what looks to be pink eye!

We went to Dr. deVilleneuve for about 2 years with my oldest (who is now 9). It was before they had 3 offices (they had 2). In general I liked the practice and I personally liked Dr. D, but for some reason my daughter (who was very happy, loved to talk, etc), cried every time we went to see him. I did have to specifically request to see him wherever he was that day, so I'd drive either to Med. City or Plano depending on where he was. When I had baby #2 I decided to switch drs.

Our pediatrician is Dr. Ryan McElroy with Pediatric Associates of Plano...located at Presby Plano. He actually is new to us b/c our pediatrician retired (Dr. Stone). I've been very happy with his thoroughness with my kids (I have 3 now), and I've seen all the other doctors in the practice as well and have been happy with all of them. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I have never been there but I do advise that you go to a practive where you see YOUR childs DR at least 80 percent of the time. If you are always seeing a different dr there is no consistency and the dr may not notice something that could be wrong or unlike your child if they dont see them on a regular basis.

I think your child dr should be the same all the time except in emergency situations. that way they really know your child and what is normal for your child.

I don't think you should have to put up with that. I think we pay doctors enough and entrust with the most important people in our lives that we should get some personal attention now and then. I have a wonderful doctor in Allen named Daniel Chartrand. His office is in the Allen Birthing Center. He keeps a relatively small practice and gives 45 whole minutes for each visit- you don't have to stay that long though. He is actually a family doctor but obviously sees kids as well. Google Harmony Family Health and you can get his info. there. I highly recommend him. Good luck!

I really like Healthy Kids Pediatrics. Deborah Z. Bain, M.D. 4851 Legacy Drive, Ste #601 Frisco, Texas 75034
My girls really like her and we always see her, not a variety of doctors. I also like that she is more into natural & healthy choices, rather than prescribing antibiotics for every little thing.

We've been going to Dr. Newton at Centennial Pediatrics for almost 7 years, even after they moved from 2 miles from my house in Richardson all the way to that new Centenial Medical Center at Custer and 121. There are three doctors in the practice and Saturday hours. All three docs are great - we have seen all three because we seem to have emergencies on the one day our doc is out!

Did not like NDP at all!!! The office staff was rude to me on more than one occasion, they always seemed way too busy, and most importantly, I diagnosed my son with pyloric stenosis when he was 1 month old. They said that it was not that and it was. He needed surgery immediately. We switched to Dr. Deborah Wardell in Carrollton and have been very happy with her.

We see Dr Moshier at NDP are are very happy with the practice. He came very highly recommended for the right reasons. Not because he is nice or the office is comfortable (even though he is wonderful). He is a very good doctor who is on top of new treatments & medical advances. He listens to our concerns. We adopted a newborn we knew nothing about health-wise except that she had been exposed to drugs in the womb. He was so informed about what to watch for & has been wonderful. When making an appointment, if Dr Moshier is not available on the day I want to go in they let me know my options & I can chose to rechedule or see another dr or nurse practitioner. It is a large practice, but I think that is a great advantage. All the doctors & nurses we have worked with have been very competent, and they can always fit us in, even if our dr is not available. That doesn't always happen in a small practice. They are also ALWAYS available for stupid (& valid) paranoid mom questions as they have a staff of nurses dedicated to answering phone calls. Every call I have made has been returned promptly & my questions answered with medically sound advice- and they have never made me feel stupid for calling. I'm the type of person to ask for what I want. I'm sure if you express your concerns with the office manager or head nurse you will be pleased with the response. Call the regular line- not the appointment line & ask to have the head nurse contact you. I would most certainly talk to them, meet the dr (perhaps you should schedule a meeting with her), and go from there. I understand your frustration, but I think you are doing your children, yourself & the practice a disservice by not voicing your concerns directly to them. They can't improve if they don't know what's making you unhappy. The most important thing is that you have excellent medical care for your children (although some of these moms sound like a receptionist who may be cranky after dealing with all us moms all day is reason to leave!). Best of luck to you & your wonderful family. I hope you can find resolution soon so you can be at ease for the rest of your pregnancy.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. David Samara - he's fantastic! www.pediatricplacetexas.com. They have a sick kids waiting room and a well kids waiting room - love that! My son is now 3 and has been going to him since he was born - Dr. Samara and his nurse, Shelley, are wonderful people and he's a GREAT doctor! A friend as well as my OB/GYN both highly recommended him. My son got very ill when he was 3 months old with RSV and Dr. Samara himself got on the phone with different area hospitals, speaking with the doctors themselves to find the place that he was most comfortable with and he, personally, made arrangements for my son to be taken to Children's Medical Center Hospital and made sure he was well taken care of from the minute he arrived until we were able to take him home. He did his residency at Children's and knew the care my son would get there would surpass what he would have gotten here in Plano.

Yes Jen is correct, you have to request a specific Dr. My son ONLY sees Dr. Devilleneuve unless it is something minor that can be handled by one of the nurse practitioners. We have been with Dr. D for 6 yrs, and he was also my husband's family pediatrician growing up. I have always been happy with the care and service. I usually go to the Plano office, but have been to the Dallas location once because that is where Dr. D was that day, and I wanted my son to see him.

I have been taking my children to Dr. Moshier for years and really like the practice. I have always been able to see the doctor when I request too do so. I have also seen Dr. Siebert on a number of occations and I love her. She is really good with my daughter. You may want to make a visit with Dr. Siebert before switching.

Also, they schedule newborne check ups first thing in the morning before they start seeing sick children.

I don't live in Frisco. I live in Flower Mound. But, I originally lived in Carrollton and have been with my current pediatrician for 6.5 years. I started with twins in 2002 and now have 5 beautiful children. Our doctor is Dr. William Coco. His office is ###-###-####. His office is off of Josey Ln. near Trinity Medical Center Hospital. He has 3 partners (2 females and 1 male) who I have seen over the years a few times. I know this is a far drive for you. But, I drive it because I would not trust my children's lives with anyone else. Good Luck!

We love this practice. Dr. Evans is our doctor, but we have seen Dr. D as well as Dr. Moshier and have really been impressed by them as well. All three are highly experienced physicians who are really great with kids.

There is really a different feel between the Frisco office and the other two from our experience. We did not care for the Frisco office.

F.Y.I. - Well kids and sick kids are scheduled in shifts both A.M. and P.M. This was a concern of ours as well.

We also went to N. Dallas Ped. for several years, but I was never really happy with them. We saw Dr. Droge (who has since moved away) in the Plano office, but also visited the Frisco office sometimes for sick apts. Whenever we went in for sick apt.'s we were seeing a different Doctor or many times just the nurse prationer. The office staff was not very friendly, and ususally when I called with questions for the nurse, I wouldn't get any good advice, she would just tell me to bring my child in. Dr. Droge also refused to give me a referral to a specialist when we suspected after many ear infections, terrible sore throats, and problems with sleep apnea, that my son may need to have his tonsils out. Even his Dentist commented that his tonsils were huge and looked like they might cause problems long term. I finally talked the nurse practioner into giving us a referal since our own Dr. would not, and my son did have his tonsils removed. We had other problems with their office and my Dr. in particular, I am very glad I left and don't know why I even stayed so long, i just wasn't sure who to go to.
We are very happy with our new pediatrician, and his nurse is so nice and full of good advice when you call her. We now go to Dr. Nail at Centennial Pediatrics, several of my friends go there and see Dr. Guetersloh, and just love him. The only problem is that they are only taking new babies, but since you are expecting, maybe they will take on your whole family. You can check out thier web site at www.centennialpediatrics.yourmd.com
Even if you don't end up going there, ask around, I think you can find a practice that you will be happier with than North Dallas Pediatrics. Good Luck!

If you have a new baby on the way, get into Centennial Pediatrics. We see Dr. Guetersloh, but we've seen all of the doctors at some point. Like someone else said, we followed them from Richardson, and I have NEVER worried about getting in, getting good advice, or for a moment questioned their care for our family. They're only accepting new babies, but once you get your little in, they'll see your other children, too. They only have one waiting room, but since we've never waited more than five minutes, I've never worried. I simply cannot say enough good things about this practice (in fact, I should probably keep quiet so they don't get overcrowded ;P )

just FYI, if you want to see a specific doctor, you have to request that particular doctor. We always see Dr. D on thursday's at the med. center dallas office because we know he is always at that office on that day. Sick child visits are of course a different story. also on the waiting room issue, from what I understand they are supposed to schedule well visits and sick child visits at different times.

We go to North Dallas Ped. as well. Our Dr. is Dr.D and we have been very pleased and have been there for over 4 yrs. They do separate sick and well visits. Well visits are usually first thing in the morning and right after lunch with the sick visits being late morning and afternoon. We have also met Dr. Seibert and were impressed with her. YOu have to request the Dr you want when you schedule and know that they have 3 office locations. Good luck.
