I know of a few parents that homeschool in the far west part of the county. I don't know if any of them are in parent groups or belong to co-ops for support. Which part of Knoxville are you in? I also wanted to tell you about 2 "Just Moved" classes here. Just Moved is a Christ-centered study to help with the transition after a move. The class offers a lot of support and resources (like a list of doctors, plumbers, etc. that former members and church members recommend) as well as Biblical principles and study after a move. It's a non-denominational study, but happens to meet at 2 Presbyterian churhces here. The group at Cedar Springs Presbyterian meets on Mondays and the group at Christ Covenant meets on Thursdays. I can give you more information or contact numbers if you'd like them. Welcome to Knoxville!

Hi C.,
Welcome to Knoxville. I love Concord United Methodist Church! Everyone's idea of a perfect church is different, but Corcord's definitely worth a visit. We have traditional services, contemporary services, Sunday School, Wed. night dinner, etc. The youth program is wonderful. Go go www.concordumc.com to check it out.

I know a lady that goes to my church that homeschools her 15yr. old sister this year. As far as a new church I go to a wonderfully supportive church. We meet at the Knoxville Christian School on 11459 Snyder Rd. every Sunday Morning at 10 AM and Wednesday night at 7pm. A lot of people there are homeschooling their younger children this year. The school it self has a homeschool program. The church has a lot of teenagers and a good youth group that meets every other Sunday evening. I hope that this helps.

Hi C.,
We go to Fellowship Church on Middlebrook (www.fefc.com). There are two services - one at 9:15 and one at 11. We really like going there - the pastors teach the Bible and there are some great community groups. Also, wonderful programs for all ages of kids. My little brothers go to the middle school and high school programs and really love it. There is also a college age group that meets on Monday nights (Crossroads) which all college age students are welcome to go to (not just Fellowship attendees). I have heard some really great things about that from people who go - they really love it. Crossroads has quite a large gathering which I think speaks for itself. Hope you will come and check it out!
