Non Denominational Church in S Arlington Needed

My husband and I moved to S Arlington about 3 years ago. We have been in search of a church home in S Arlington to no avail. We are from the old school that church is open Sunday morning, Sunday night 'and' Wednesday night. We have noticed that most churches only have Sunday morning service. Then Sunday nights are at members homes and then they do not have church on Wednesday's at all. How do churches get new members in the door? How do you get to know your pastor and church family with minimal church time? My husband and I are pretty out going people but we do not feel comfortable going to someone’s home we don't know. Don't get me wrong, home group meetings are good. But I feel they should be done once a month, not every Sunday evening. I have heard some people say that churches are having 'less' church so people can be with their families more. I feel your church family is just as important as our home family.
We also need a church that is open Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings because my husband works nights and is off during the week. We also have an 11 week old daughter and we want her to see her parents and church family worshiping the Lord and we don't want her thinking that you only go to church once a week.

Hi D.,

My church is a traditional old school baptist church. We have sunday school then worship service in the mornings, bible study on sunday evenings with an occasional switch in platform, and on wednesday we have the option of having a meal at church and some attend a bible study. We also do things throughout the year to reach out to the community and have classes for the children. If interested in learning more you can email me at ____@____.com and if you would like me to call you leave that information in the email. Best wishes!

S.

I highly recommend my Non-denominational church...Crossroads Christian Church on SH360/Ragland/Debbie Ln. You cannot miss it with the big blue roof with a Cross on the top. I believe you just might find what you are looking for...3 outstanding Sunday morning worship services with Life Groups during each service and a great Wednesday night service with more Life Groups that meet after the service. They have a great nursery and the kids and youth programs are awesome as well. We have been there for about 13 years now and love it! Our pastor preaches verse by verse thru the Bible every service and he is an amazing preacher/teacher of The Word.

I encourage you to check it out: www.crossroadschristian.net

May God bless you in your decision.

Arlington Christian Center on Bardin and Matlock is great, and so is Arlington Christian Church on Bowen, just south of I-20 a bit. I have also heard good things about Crossroads and Highpoint, but they are HUGE churches :)

I live in central Arlington, and I searched high and low for a solid bible teaching church that truly believed in fellowship and every member being vital to the ministry. I go to church in Cedar Hill (right off 67 about a 20 min drive) at Rock Harvest Church. It is a small church in size but big in ministry and in fellowship. We have Sunday morning and Wednesday night services. Once a month we are having a Sunday night of worship. If you want a church "home" you'll find it here. We are family and we truly believe that we are called to edify and serve one another and those we encounter everyday outside of church. You can get more info at rockharvest.org.
