I am 7.5 months pregnant and I am having a hard time finding a Pediatrician. Does anyone have any recommendations? I live off Marsh between Forest and Royal. I really appreciate everyone's help. Thank you.

What can I do next?

My daughter uses Dr. Sue Hubbard from Pediatrict Associates of Dallas (PAD) at Walnut Hill and Greenville. We love PAD and all of our friends go there (we all see different docs)!!! There are about 10 doctors in the practice so if your doc isn't available there is always someone to see your little one. They are open until 9 pm as well so if you are a working mom it is a huge convenience for check-up appointments. My husbands insurance is changing and they do not carry the new insurance so I am heartbroken to be leaving...they are wonderful!!!

i use dr. christopher becker of baylor pediatrics. they are located just north of northpark mall, on park ave. right off the service road. i really like him and more importantly, my kids LOVE him. great bedside manner and he respects my opinion on having alternative views of healthcare and homeopathy. you can view all of the doc's at www.baylorpediatrics.com - never had a problem with the nurses or sub docs.

good luck,
S.

Are you near 75 and Walnut Hill? If so I would recommend www.clinicalpediatricassociates.com they have a staff of very nice, very educated and very experienced doctors. You can look up their photos and bios to decide who you want to see.

Melissa below mentions Dr. Hanig, I have seen him a couple of times when our doctor, Dr. Hieber is not available. They are AWESOME.

They are right across from Presby Hospital. 100 votes from me. I actually live in Valley Ranch and still drive over there because I feel like I can really trust them.

Good luck and congratulations!

Clinical Pediatrics...Dr. Joseph Hanig...on Walnut Hill across from Presby. He is the calmest and most soothing doctor. He's been my kids Dr. for 10 years. (all 4 of mine since birth) He won't hand out meds at the drop ofa hat though...and rarely gives anti biotics unless it's very needed.

Hi there,

I moved from California to Dallas 6 years ago having already had 3 kids. The first delivery was c section, the later were what they call v-bac.(Vaginal birth after c section delivery)Finding myself preg with #4, I was also finding it hard to find an obgyn that would agree to deliver me vaginally. They all, even ,womens presby, well known facilities, said "once a c-section, always a c-section." I almost gave up when I ran across this lovely man, Dr Usuga. He is in Mesquite off of 635 and 30.

By the way, if this is your first delivery, c-section is not the way you want to deliver, it is an emergency exit only.

Dr. Usuga explained to me that there was only one malpractice insurance company in Texas, and the premiums were outrageous, leaving many obgyn to deliver c section because there are less complications for them, and less a chance to get sued. He agreed to let me deliver my next 2 vaginally.

This doctor is also on the cutting edge of cryoablation, and if you know an older female relative that "leaks", or maybe you after you get done pushing, he can fix that too. I have had both proceedures.

I you have ever seen dr 90210, he sounds and acts like him. He makes you feel important, informed, and confident that he will make everything go smoothly for you and your baby.

Good luck,

C.

I have been seeing James Watkins at Pediatricians of Dallas for 17 years. He's very easy going, but thorough. Always remember you and takes time to discuss anything with you. He is in the Woodhill Medical buildings on Walnut Hill Lane across from Presbyterian Dallas. His number is ###-###-####. They welcome visits from new parents. Actually I've been very pleased with all the doctors in the practice. They have late afternoon and weekend hours as well.
