Hi everyone. I'm two months pregnant right now, and my fertility endocronolgist is going to release me to the care of my OB GYN soon. The problem is that since I have moved to Dallas, I haven't sought out an OB GYN. Does any have any recommendations for a really good one, and also, in your opinion what is the best hospital to give birth at in the Dallas area. Thank you for your help.

Dr Mark Bernstien - voted # 1 Dr for 2 or 3 years in a row at Medical City Dallas. I met Dr B when he delivered my 1st baby girl - a high risk with a severe hert defect. He, his staff and hospital were so enjoyable that we went back with baby # 2. ###-###-####

I think everyone thinks that their OBGYN is the best, but... I will tell you I have a 5 week old little boy that came very early. My pregnancy was very high risk!!!! My Doctor and the doctors in her practice have been named in D magazine. All of that didn't matter because I couldn't have had a better doctor. She was awesome.. Very attentive and spent as much time with me as I needed answering questions etc..... I had Jaxson at Presby Dallas. Also, one of the best. The NICU from what I understand and witnessed is the best in Dallas and one of the best in Texas. If your prsgnancy is high risk I would suggest Presby Dallas. It might be a little out of the way (75 and Walnut Hill) but is was worth the 20 minute drive for me. My doctor is Natalie Light she is with Health Central Women's Care and the number is ###-###-####.

Good luck and Congrats!!!

The OB and GYN Associates of Dallas. Dr's Heckman, Harris and Eimer are GREAT! I use Harris and I have ALWAYS HEARD GOOD THINGS. Even the nurses in the Maternity ward like him. Harris is mild mannered, open minded, soft spoken and very encouraging! Even when things aren't going great. I wish he was my GP!
His practice is next to Baylor and he has an office in Frisco too. The practice delivers all their own babies during the week and have a three week rotation for weekends. It boiled down to this for me...my Dr didn't deliver babies 4 days a month. It was important to me that someone I was comfortable with deliver my daughter!

Have you considered a birth center? Certified nurse-midwives and a peaceful birth center environment make for an amazing birth experience. Also you are less likely to have a surgical birth. You need to be considered low-risk, but most pregancies are! There are several birth centers in the Dallas area www.dallasmidwife.com/, www.allenbirthingcenter.com/, and more.

I don't know where in the Dalla area you live but I LOVE my OBGYN. Her name is Dr. Rebecca Collins and her number is ###-###-####. She is with North Texas OBGYN in Lewisville (35 and Main St.). She delivered both of my children and I've been using her for about 10 years.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi J.--I think that Dr. Richards with Walnut Hill OBGYN is the best there is. I was referred to him after conceiving through IUI. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate and everyone else in that practice is as well. He delivers at Presbyterian Hospital which has a wonderful maternity ward. If you have anymore questions or want to talk further. Please email me at ____@____.com. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Women and Women Associates at Baylor in Dallas.

I believe the four wonderful OBGYNs have now split into two different buildings. Dr. Sandra Brother and her partner are now at the Tom Laundry building.
Dr. Audrey Graham is unbelievable! She is still off of Live Oak. It's very easy to get to! www.wwha.yourmd.com
Check it out.
I found Women to Women thru my Birth center and I now use them for everything "womanly"!!

I had many problems with my OB and changed to a new one which I love. She is wonderful. She is in Presby Dallas and her name is Dr Barbara Crockett She was written up in D Mag. I really like her and the whole team in her office. Might I add that I was also seeing a fertility Dr and this is who he recommended for the best of the best.
