Hi mamas, I'm looking for a good private jeweler. My rings were made by ours in MN, but I need to find one down here. I'm wanting to kind of re-do my ring set, and combine the diamonds from my band into my engagement ring making it one. So I'm looking for someone who pays attention to detail and is very trustworthy. And advice would be great, thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

My husband's parents swore by Bernings Fine Jewelry, so that's where we've gone and we have to agree - they're amazing. It's in Tempe.

I have a GREAT jeweler that I've used for 7 years!!! All work is done on site, so there is no possibility of any switch with your stones like can happen at other stores that ship pieces out. The store is owned and run by Eric P (not sure of spelling for last name) and only has about 4 employees. I got my engagement ring from him, but brought in a center stone we purchased separately for him to mount and they made a custom wedding band to match. When making the custom wedding band I wanted it thin (more of a shadow band), but my husband thought it needed diamondss, so after Eric started it, he thought it would not look right (balanced) with small diamonds so he doubled the size of the diamonds and did not change the price. The ring/band has appraised for more than double of what we paid for it and I get complements daily. We also got my husbands ring there and custom made earrings. My mom also had a ring that had "invisible set" diamonds in 4 rows that was cut off her finger with a bolt cutter and he was able to fix that ring even though he warned me it might not work before he started since the ring was bent when it was cut off.

Please go see him for an opinion and quote!!!

I go to Christopher Diamonds. They are in Chandler, but it is well worth the drive. He is a personal friend of mine and I KNOW that he is one of the most trustworthy men you will ever meet. I had him reset my diamond and he gave me ideas for a unique design and I LOVE IT.

I actually looked him up online and he has had great reviews from other clients.

Hi, I have used the same Jeweler since I moved here in 1986. Walt's Jewelers at 143 E. Germann Rd. in Gilbert south of the 202. ###-###-####. I've sent another friend over to him and he fixed her ring and was very happy with it. Thanks for letting me share. N. P.

Well, they are not in Mesa or Gilbert, however worth the drive. I live in Gilbert and only go to them. They have created new and re done lots of stuff over the years for me and are VERY good and can do anything you describe. Michael's Creative Jewelry on Ray Rd and I-10. West of I-10, in the same parking lot as Babies R Us. Ask for Randy, he is Michael's brother, he will take care of you.
