Good Jeweler, Preferably in Lakewood/White Rock Area

We use the Diamond Doctor in the Galleria and they are GREAT. I hit my diamond several times while moving and knocked 2 diamonds out of my ring, they only charged me $300 to replace the two smaller diamonds and tighten up all the prongs. I've had no problems since. They are GREAT! K.

I would recommend Erika Vaeth with S & E Gold. ###-###-####. She is on Gus Thomasson, has been in business for over 17 yrs. in that location and a jeweler/goldsmith for over 25 yrs. Very trustworthy and reasonable.

Hi D. - we lived down in the M streets for years before fleeing to Plano (public school-related).

I always went to a truly independent guy in HP - Snider Plaza. I hate that I can't remember his name now, but it starts with an A and he's Lebanese or something (we had a long talk about it once). If you go into Snider Plaza from the South end (near Peggy Sue Barbeque), and go North, his shop is on the right side. If you've gotten to the fountain, you've gone too far.

He fixed my husband's Raymond Weil watch that he's had for 15 years. another jewler wanted to charge $850 for the same repairs. My husband bought my eternity band from him too.

Collin Creek Mall in Plano off Central has one they are good and resonable priced. I took my watch to him and had it fix.

I actually work in the luxury jewelry field so I'm very particular. If you just have prong issues I would go to Saul at Simply Designs on LBJ near Montfort. It's not in a shopping center, but he's in the phone book. He has done countless repairs for me, including replacing missing stones in my wedding band. I know him well & trust him completely. His prices are unbeatable, too. Tell him Suzy sent you. For work on older pieces Batky Jewelers at Lovers & Inwood is a very good jeweler. My wedding rings are my grandmother's & great grandmother's, so I did a great deal of research for a specialist in vintage & estate jewelry. They were in bad shape. He completely refurbished the rings to look true to their history and gave me a reasonable price for such intricate work.A good jeweler is worth going out of your way. After all, these are your wedding rings! Get that prong fixed now befor you lose the stone! Good luck!

I like the jeweler at Lower Greenville Jewelry Workshop. He does nice work, and if he can't fix something, he'll tell you upfront. He's only told me that one time, by the way. I found a jeweler in Richardson who is working on that particular ring (and who tells me it's one of the biggest challenges he's worked on--it's been months and he's still struggling with it).

There is a jeweler near in Casa Linda near the old theater....I have been there a couple of times and they were nice and seemed reasonable to me.......

Hi, I have to preface my recommendation by saying I havne't been to this jewelry in many many years and it was my mother not me that did even then but.....There is a jewelry store called Sergios that is now in Casa Linda. Back when i was sixteen (i'm 35 now) my mother had a ring handmade for me there. I stil have the ring and it has never had any issues and is still beautiful. It was a special design that she had made for herself then altered into a "K" for me. Anyway, they are in Casa Linda now and though I'll say i never worked with them myself or for sure know their reputation now, I do know that good work was done there before. I doubt it cost an arm and leg for my mom back then either b/c she just wouldn't have done it if it had. LOLOL. I imagine if they could create a whole mold and ring from scratch they can repair a bent prong easily. But use your own judgement since i'm not sure. good luck!

Hi D.. I use a jeweler that is actually in Richardson but he is great. They have been our family jeweler for over 15years. Family owned, I acutally went to school with his daughter. It is called Winfields ###-###-####, on the corner of Plano rd. and Beltline. I too live down here in the whiterock area and it is worth the drive. I got my grandmothers 75yo wedding band set after she passed away. It needed some help and I happened to be near a jeweler so I popped in. They wanted 1,000 to fix it. At winfields they just used their platinum laser machine (or something like that) to size it to my finger, then cleaned it up and said it would be cheaper to replace the diamonds (they are tiny) as they fall out then actually go back and restructure the entire ring. I appreciated their honesty because if they had told me it needed to be redone and it would cost a lot I would have believed them. They have never let us down.
