Need Help Deciding Which Double Stroller to Purchase...

I am really having a hard time making a decision on a double stroller. I have a 2 year old son, who loves to walk around, but also likes to ride in a stroller, and a 1 year old daughter that can't walk yet. We had a front to back double stroller when my daughter was born, but that didn't work at all for us. I was thinking of getting the Combi side by side double stroller. After I thought about it some more, I was wondering if one of the sit/stand strollers might be a better, longer lasting option for our family. I would really appreciate any thoughts about the double stroller subject. I don't want to spend $200 on a stroller that we use for a year and then my son won't/can't ride in anymore. Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Well, after much thought, and thanks to the help of those of you that responded, I purchased the Joovy Caboose Ultralight online yesterday. I really feel it was a good purchase for our family and it was very helpful to hear from other moms that gave it rave reviews. It will be nice to have a stroller that I can use for one or both of my children, for just about the same price that I would have paid for a side-by-side stroller! Thanks again for all of the comments!

Hi. I love our Combi side-by-side. Before we got it, we had a Joovy sit-and-stand that I hated. It was very heavy and difficult to maneuver. I couldn't wait to get rid of it, it was a huge waste of money. Read the reviews of the Joovy before you buy one, if you are considering it. They are not good!

We also have a Joovy Sit & Stand ultralight. I really like it. It is definitely designed for a larger, walking kid and a smaller kid up front. It also holds an infant carrier, but only certain brands. There is a list on their website.

There are a lot of reviews of it on Amazon.

However, a friend of mine bought a sit & stand type stroller at Target and really likes it too.

We love our joovy caboose, the ultralight model. We have two girls 3 years apart, and our oldest loves that she can sit or stand, or get out and walk easily. Most people don't like how wide side by side models are. Good luck!

I had the back-to-back sit and stand stroller. It had a long wheel base, so maneuvering it sometimes was difficult, however, it lasted until both could walk longer distances. It was the perfect solution because my older daughter loved to walk, then sit, then walk. It was easy for her to get on and off the sit and stand stroller. Otherwise I would have been lifting her every 5 minutes.
