Hi I am due in January with my second child. I have been looking at double strollers, and was hoping to get some advice from other Moms who have them. My son will be 2 1/2 when my daughter will be born. It seems like Graco is the most common, but I would like some other input.
Thanks,
K.

Hi K.,

We purchased an Italian made stroller. It was sturdy, roomy and beautiful. I am saving it for my grandkids as I am sure it will last. Ask the baby stores if they carry any European made lines.

I have a double stroller, i think graco is the manufacturer..its great..its the long based one not the wide one which i would recommened! its not easy getting around with those wide ones. But for the money you can find one at walmart or target..for like 80 dollars and its well worth the money, i have had mine for over a year now.

hope this helps

When I had my second child I used the Sit N Stand double stroller. My older child could sit (fully buckled in) or stand when we'd go shopping. The front seat fits just about any baby carrier, but some people don't want the baby to be in the front. It was a little heavy, but easy to set up & take down. The only time I thought it was hard to push was out on the sidewalk since our sidewalks are slightly tilted.

I did a lot of mall shopping & liked the stroller for that since it was narrow & I could get through the clothing racks easily.

Make your decision based on where you plan to use it the most. Since I was a big mall shopper, a side by side wouldn't be good, but the Peg Perego Aria is great if you're outdoors often.

Good luck finding the stroller that's right for you!

I just bought the Graco Duo Glider our second baby isnt due for some time but I figured I would get it while we had the money. I got mine used from a classified ad though from Craigslist.

I am a mother of two girls (3 yrs & 1 1/2 yrs). I bought the Graco Duo Glider mainley because I could put the infant carseat into it easily. Now that my girls are older, I can't get too far in a walk without my youngest kicking or "stretching her legs out" the front seat. There looks to be plenty of leg room, but I think my youngest likes bothering my oldest. You'll want to test drive a lot of different strollers when you go to the store. Try them out in ailes, open and close them up etc so you can see how everything works. My duo glider maneuvers GREAT and it's too heavy to put in and out of the truck. I am actually looking for a side by side double stroller and so far I've heard great things about the Peg Pergo Avia. It really depends on what you will be using the stroller for...will you be using it mostly in shopping centers (side by side will be very difficult to maneuver in the ailes) however, a jogging stroller or side by side with large wheels work great when taking walks or jogs with the little ones. Good luck in your search!

I'm not sure what you are looking for specifically but I love my baby trend sit and stand stroller, we got it at target. My oldest is 3 and is too tall for traditional strollers, and the youngest is now 1 1/2 but it comes with an attachment for car seats.

We got the Combi Twin Savvy, it's a side by side stroller. My kids are now 2 1/2 and 9 mths and I've never had any problems because of the weight diff. It also folds so that it can be free- standing, and it fits in the trunk of my small saturn. Good Luck!

Hello. We got the Peg Perego Avia side by side stroller. The ones that have them in front of each other, wouldn't allow our older daughter to lay down if she were tired. This stroller only weighs 14 pounds! It folds up pretty tight too, we fit it behind the third row seat of our Explorer. It is a pricey stroller, but was well worth it. We are actually ready to sell ours if you would want to take a look at it.

I have a newborn and a 2 1/2 yo, and in need of a “double” stroller. I have been doing alot of research and have decided to buy the Joovy Caboose Ultralight (the sit-&-stand kind). Babies r Us sells the regular one, but Amazon has the Ultralight, which is lighter, has better wheels, a locking seat, larger canopy and a parent tray. My daughter loves to walk and does not sit in the stroller, so I don’t want to get a huge double stroller – but I want something that will accommodate her when she needs to rest, or if I need her to stay in place when dashing through the mall etc. From what I’ve read, and heard from other parents by asking them when I see them with strollers, the Joovy Caboose gets better ratings than the Baby Trend Sit-and-Stand.

K.,

When I had my second child my oldest just turned one. And I got the Graco stroller, one kid sat in front of the other. I don’t recommend it. We had problems with the wheels and the older has to sit in front, because the back is for the baby seat and it makes it hard to push with a bigger child in front. Also take a look at your trunk, when you fold up the Graco its REALLY big and you cant fit anything else in the truck with it. I would really recommend the side by side stroller. I know you may think its wide, but its easier to maneuver and light weight. Plus its much easier to push and most of them had dual reclining seats, unlike the ones where your child sits in front of each other. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!
