Need Feedback on the Three Dallas Pediatricians My OBGYN Recommended

Dr. Moore was our pediatrician for a few months. The thing I liked the best about his practice is that you could call whenever, and actually talk to him, not an answering service. When you think you have an emergency but are not sure, it is nice to be able to talk to someone who knows about your child.

On the other hand, he is the most expensive pediatrician I have ever had, and when I had to pay out of pocket on a visit that the insurance wouldn't cover, I was astounded at the price. I also was not to thrilled about his nurse. She wasn't very impathetic, and she didn't handle the shots with my 4yo very well. She had to stick her twice and then blamed me for not holding her leg still enough. She is easy to talk to, though.

Dr. Halsell is no longer with the practice. Dr. Chris Dreiling took her place and he is wonderful. I have never seen Dr. Burns or Dr. Moore, but I have seen Dr. Dennison and Dr. Hubbard, both of whom are fabulous. Good luck with your new little one!

Hi. I have heard good things about Dr. Moore though have no personal experience with him, however I dont know about the others. We also live in the Whiterock area and use Dr. Stefanie Skrivanek, in a group of 4 peditricians. She has been great and very helpful with our young son (6mo old and our first). My husband and I are both physicians and I think that should say at least something good about her that we both like her a lot. You can easily make a prenatal visit with her (free) and talk over your concerns/questions with her if you are interested. Hope this helps some.

My OBYGN referred to me to Dr. Burns from a list I had. Her and Dr. Shin trade out so one of them is always available and yet have family time. It is great office. Someone is on call 24/7 and open on weekends. I had a prescription issue at Walmart at 9:30 one night the Dr. on call called me and Walmart back and forth until the problem was resolved. Last month I lost my truck keys somewhere in the parking lot, the staff helped me with the baby while I was in and out searching for my keys.

Hello! I really like Karen Halsell. She is part of Pediatricians of Dallas group and all of them are wonderful. I have been using Dr. Neely for years from that group and Dr. Halsell is new there. Whenever Dr. Neely is not there or unable to see my kids, I always ask for her. Hope this helps. She is really young and has a toddler herself. She is very thorough and caring. W.

I don't mean to complicate matters, but I have not heard of any of those pediatricians. I, too, live east of White Rock Lake--in Forest Hills to be exact. I have 2 children, 3 years and 6 months, and have used Dr. Jenny Clifford at Baylor Pediatrics. Dr. Milici at the same office comes highly recommended as well. Both doctors will meet with you so you can decide if they are right for your family.

Karen Halsell is my son's pediatrician, and I have been very happy with her. She takes time with you and doesn't seem to rush through the appointments. My 1st pediatrician was not that way!
