Need Cheap or Free Website

I use www.weebly.com and it's totally free! Very easy to set up yourself, they even have easy options for displaying photos. All it has is one very tiny "get a free site at weebly" on the bottom of each page. But definitely not conspicuous.

You can use their paid features, but we've run our business website on the totally free stuff and it has been just fine.

You do have to buy your own domain name, and you do need to buy it through them or else it's a pain. Or you can use the free domain name they give you.

Goggle wetpaint. They have free web sites. And Vista Print has them for about 4.99 per month I think.

Try godaddy.com, we used it for my moms group, Mom-2-Mom, website and it was cheap to set up. I used the same site to make a website for my families business and it was fairly easy to set up and maintain. They are usually running specials. For Mom-2-Mom, I think it was a $9.95 set up fee and then it is $4.95 each month. For my company, it was I believe the same set up fee or maybe $12.95 but free for a year to maintain.

What type of website are you looking for?

Are you going to sell product on the site or did you just want it as a portfolio?

Did you want to use flash or is that not a necessity?

I do web design as a side thing (not yet a business), but I don't know flash.

I use hostmonster for a nonprofit website I do. I think it costs about $70 a year. There are a lot of features available on it that I don't use. Not sure if that adds additional cost. I am not a techie. I created the webpage in Microsoft Publisher and use the "save as webpage" tool, which does all of the conversion to code for me. Then I upload to hostmonster using a file manager type application they offer. Very cheap and easy for my basic needs.

we use the quickbook website editor, we got free domain for a year and then i think they charge $12 monthly but if you decided to change your hosting at the end of the year you keep your website with you. it's very easy to use and they also have a 800 number that you can call if you have any questions. good luck
