I LOVE to coordinator!!!!! I was able to coordinator my wedding by myself, and found that I loved doing it and would love to continue. But I do have minor problems, where do I to to setup my own website? Or is there a place I can go that will make cheap business cards? Or even if theres a website that I can go to help me?

Thanks

Contact Luke at NewLifeStyles for your website. They do a really good job. His email is ____@____.com. Vista Print is an online source for some free items or go to Staples. Staples is really good and reasonable. Good Luck!

I second the www.GoDaddy.com recommendation. Also www.vistaprint.com has great deals on business cards and lots of other business related items. Good luck!

Mark at TXworld.com - they're great, local and I'm sure can work within your budget. I'm very happy with the work they did with mine (www.kid-express.com). Visit www.godaddy.com to search for a name for your website. If you have a name already, keep searching the variations till you find an available .com and then buy it ($10). If you don't have a name, I'm sure the mamas would be happy to help. (I was thinking of To A "T" Weddings (T for T.) "To-a-T-weddings.com" is available.

For business cards, etc, go to vistaprint.com - they have templates you can use, or you can upload your logo. They've done a great job on my stuff :)

If you're in N. Dallas, contact me, as I belong to a few networking groups and we're always looking for new members.

See if you have friends that would be willing to let you plan an event for them so they can test-drive you and refer you.

Good luck

www.bludomain.com has wonderful flash websites and you can get them cheap. It would take some work to get them to work for your type of business, but it can be really impressive with the right words and images. They gear themselves to photographers, but some of their clients are make-up artists and hair design. I can totally it would work for wedding/party co-ordination! I think you can get business cards at Vista Print (google it). If you need help with business card design, let me know.

It is GREAT that you are starting your own business.

As a business owner, I suggest a good accountant and lawyer to guide you through the process. It is not THAT much money and you need good guidance for the process and to get set up. I use Quickbooks and I send a file to the accountant when needed and that is all I have to do. I am still learning a lot about Quickbooks but so far, it is going very well.

Like you, I LOVE organizing and planning parties. My daughter has parties 2-3 times a year and I love the process. Someday, I might just do it on my own. I love the cooking part as well.

Good luck to you with your business.

Congrats! I would suggest that you sit down with a CPA and make sure you go over all the business details as well as the website details! My husband is a CPA and does free consultations...he specializes in small businesses/new business owners. You can give him a call at ###-###-#### or ____@____.com.

Hi T.!

It is very exciting that you have found an area that you would like to make your business! I have started one recently and I have some suggestions.

First - start your business on the side first! This economy may be far from gaining consistency or recovery so start small to start smart!

1. website - yahoo small business - just go to Yahoo and click on small business and you can purchase a domain and it is quite affordable.
2. business cards - hotcards.com or even Kinkos - has great deals if you order in large quantities (not a typical print)
3. business bank account - compass is great to deal with and not in trouble!

Good luck!
