What is the best BBQ within 10 miles of downtown Dallas?

I have a friend entertaining business clients tonight and for some reason, he thinks I'm his personal concierge... ;)

What can I do next?

Sonny Bryan's at the West End or near Parkland hospital (either one). This is the original BBQ. We took a group from D.C. there last year and they are still talking about it. It has been around since I before I was born--over 40 years ago :)

Good luck,

Anderson's BBQ on Harry Hines is really fantastic! You will want to call though and check their evening hours...I think they close early.

There are several Tony Romas and I think one is near Northwest Hwy and 35. Dickeys, Springcreek and Sonny Bryan's are tasty but Tony Romas is a restaurant instead of cafeteria, which may work better for business clients.

Good luck,

T.

My husband loves good bbq and he raves about Pappas Bros. BBQ. Any Pappas restaurant I've tried has always had really good food!

If all the clients are men, then I would suggest Bone Daddy's (on the corner of 75 central and Spring Valley). It's in North Dallas, so it's more than 10 miles. But they have really good BBQ. And the waitresses dress in short shorts. So they'll have the best of both worlds. Even if there are women, it's not really that bad of an atmosphere. I think Hooters is worse (not that Hooters is that bad either, IMO).

I second Anderson's. The BEST ribs, but definitely check their hours. If they aren't open late, then I've also heard nothing but good reviews of the original Sonny Bryan's recommended by Parkland, but I've never eaten there personally.
