lubrication makes it better for both parties. if you have recently had a baby or are especially sensitive, Astroglide is less irritating because it is water-based.

I personally prefer to use the Kama Sutra brand of almond oil. It's not petroleum based, so it's safe to use with any latex products if nescessary. Also, it doesn't get sticky like KY tends to do. And it has a lovely scent.

Yes use lubrication. It's perfectly safe and can make sex much more satisfying for you and hubby. There's a warming lubrication that works great. Just use a very small amount, you don't need much and if you have any burning or irritation from it, just wash it off and you'll be fine.

Have fun!! :)

Honey I use it ALL the time!!! My hubby loves it as well!
Sometimes I put some down there before I know we want to get frisky and other times I just have it by the bed and use as needed. It can be fun...
I just use stuff from the store, but before I had 2 kids and no time I used to go to a local sex shop and get some. They have great ones there.
Anyhow just enjoy... and to be honest I would just get a plane one, no flavors and nothing that makes things cool or tingle. Those can sting if you are sensitive down there. Just start off with the basics.

Use KY Gel it is made specifically for that area, it is safe, and it makes it so that it is not dry.

Just as an FYI - KY jelly is a good source of lubricant, but there can be some side affects. Very rare, but I'm one of those that can develop a yeast infection from using it, and I have talked with my doctor. Vaseline is also very safe and doesn't affect me at all. Works exactly the same.

If you're dry it might hurt to have sex, so lubricant is the only way to go. The one's meant for sex (NOT the flavored kind) are sterile and hypo-allergenic. Sometimes our bodies change after having a baby, and well if this is what I had to do to have sex, then I would buy stock in the KY Jelly company! =) Have fun!!!

We almost always use some lubricant. It makes it a lot more pleasurable fo both of us. After I had my babies, it was necessary, but now, it just makes it better! We prefer the original Astroglide. I don't like KY nearly as much. (Although the plain KY is fabulous for sticking tiny bows on newborn baby girl's heads!). The Astorglide is a bit more $$, but well worth it! Good luck & have fun!

You've gotten some great answers. And yes using lubrication is totally safe and completely normal!
I just want to add that some lubricants can be uncomfortable to people with sensitive skin. I have found that some burn. They make ones that heat up (to rouse the senses) and some are even flavored. These have never been comfortable for me. So if you have sensitive skin some to try are KY Jelly and I really like Vagisil Intimate Lubricant. You can find them in the tampon isle.
But more importantly have fun!

KY is great, and don't feel ashamed to use it, for some women pregnancy can dry you up down there, others not at all. There's MANY different KY choices to choose from, so if you feel embarrassed buying it at the store, ask hubby to run in the store and let him decide what to get, guys don't mind buying that stuff. : )

Have a great time!

Another great lubricant is coconut oil. Just a little- let it melt in your hand and use it to massage on him and that will take care of any dryness that you may have. Very effective and very safe!

Completely safe! A good lubricant such as KY is used in Doctor's offices for internal exams, etc. It's sterile and completely safe for you to use. If you have a reaction, call the GYN, otherwise, enjoy the time with your husband.

If he was away on deployment, please thank him for his service on all of our behalves.

The good news is that you might find after 7 months away from your husband you my not be so dry. = ) If you are though, there are several over the counter products that are safe and just fine to use. So go for it and don't worry, just enjoy!

Good luck with your welcome back.

We have to use lubrication. It's such a wonderful invention! We've tried a few and I think the best ones are the water based lubes. They feel much less messy while still being effective. I usually buy a walmart or target brand. Very cheap and gets the job done nicely. Have fun welcoming your husband home!

Donot have to be embarrassed,,, every women goes through this at some point and even men have problems with this at times. there are so many differnt types and flavors of lubes. They are perfectly safe. Google it for one thing. Go to the pharmacy. Actually they have them on the shelves right in the store. One brand is K-Y jelly it is just clear,,, but now they have ky for him and her both and when you put them together suppose to make you both feel great! Some have warming solutions to help get you are a bit faster many have flavors also. I am older they my husband and have trouble once in a while and he is rather big there and it really does help alot. Sometimes the warmth from it might make a guy go a bit faster but just give him time because with him being gone 7 months i am sure he will build back up in a hurry and by that time you will be nice and wet from him let alone the lube,,, Enjoy yourselves,,, you have a few days before he gets home go read up on them buy some and try it on yourselve before he is there so you know kind of what to expect. Some have a warming sensation to them some have flavors some have both,,, some are perfumy and some are not. You need to experment a bit with them,, let your guy know about them and why and he will love you for the truth of things and might even think hey this is kinky and love it,,, Good luck and relax and have fun!

Ok, not to add TMI, but try the KY hers and his. One is cool (I think its the HERS) and one is warm and, like the commercial says, when the two sensations come together-----Yowsa!!! LOL I also got the impression that hubby has been away on deployment. He'll not be the least bit unpleased about using a lubricant....he's likely to just be happy to be home safe having sex with you again. And I'm pretty certain he's gonna want you to enjoy it as well. Dryness if VERY common in many women. Don't be embarassed by it sweetie!

Get a lubrication meant for sex like KY, Astroglide, etc. KY is available at most drug stores. those products are water based and will not harm latex (like a condom or diaphram). If you use a spermicide jelly for birth control, with or without a condom, you don't even need something separate for lubrication. You can get it in pre-filled applicators so it is easy to use when you need it and the unopened ones will keep a while.
