Where I used to live two local theaters had a special mom/young child movie showing in which kids could be kids without disrupting other movie-goers. I think it was one morning a week or maybe two mornings a month. The lights weren't turned down quite so low, there was special pricing and the moview was rated G. Does anyone know of any theaters offering similar services in the Pittsburgh area - preferrably in the south hills but I'd consider any location.

Loew's at the Waterfront in Homestead has this. I believe it's Tuesday mornings at 10 or 10:30. You can get more info from their website.
I've never gone because my daughter is a late sleeper, but it sounds like fun. I wish they'd offer a 2:00 showing!

Yep--the Loews Theater at the Waterfront (Homestead) has special kid times--check out their website or give them a call. I live in the South Hills and it's the only theater nearby that I've heard has that!

I was told by my girlfriend they have a mommie and me showing
at the waterfront in homestead. call for times. I havent called yet my daughter is only 2 and I wasnt quite sure she is old enough yet.

It's not exactly what you just asked for, but there's a dollar movie house with about a dozen screens just beyond Bridgeville called Screenworks. Occasionally there's something for little kids. Their website is fandango.com .
Hi L., Check out the Urban mommies website. They not only do stroller friendly tours of the museums and such but also have arranged for kid friendly movies with the waterworks theater in fox chapel area. Kind of far I know but if you are interested their website has the details about the movie and timings etc.This is a nice way to meet other moms as well
