Men's Dress Pants That Won't Wear Out So Fast

My husband's dress khaki's seem to wear out pretty fast. The seams will pull, and there are worn spots from his wallet. They get holes easy. He wears Docker's usually. Does anyone know of a brand that are more sturdy? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Awesome! Thanks, ladies! I will definitely try some of these brands. I think I will also try a synthetic material like polyester because I think the cotton is part of the problem. It just doesn't hold up as well.

Try getting them from LLbean. You may pay twice as much, but they last forever. And if they do wear or tear they are replaced for free, no hassle.

It also depends on how they are laundered. If you are washing & drying them they will wear out faster. If you don't already, have them dry cleaned. Or wash them inside out, put in dryer for about 5 minutes to get the wrinkles out then hang them dry. Docker's should hold up pretty well. Also, if his wallet is too full or a trifold, that will be a factor. My husband is very h*** o* his clothes. Them wearing out fast is just the norm for him.

My husband wears Brooks Brothers. They are expensive, but they last forever. We are near an outlet mall, so he gets most of his stuff at the outlet so he can save some money.

We love the Savane pants. They wear well and really last. Do a google seach - many stores carry them and I think I've even found them at Costco periodically.

I do agree that usually more expensive brands do hold up better. You could also try actual dress pants, like suit pant type pants, they will hold up better I think too, but you may have to dry clean them. Try looking at Marshalls, etc. too, sometimes you can get RL and others for cheaper.

My husband wears:
Perry Ellis
Dockers Premium-these last pretty well
He used to wear Kenneth Cole, but these are horrible!

I buy most his dress clothes at Macy's during sales and end of season, etc....

Eddie Bauer and Land's End. My husband has been wearing Eddie Bauer for 20 years and they last really well. I wash on warm, tumble dry normal and they last years. You can also get them hemmed to exact length, no extra charge, which is great, because I don't have to hem or pay someone else to do it.
