Durable Dress Shirts for Hubby
Hi moms! You all have such great advice, I was wondering if you could help me on this one: I need some recommendations for dress shirts for my husband. He is an office guy, but is a bit "rough" on his clothes. He's often ripping his nice dress shirts, especially at the elbows (he must put his elbows on his desk alot!). I feel so bad for him when this happens, as he's in a very professional office and in a leadership position - he needs to look nice and stay "put together". He has been fitted by a professional, so I know we're buying the right size, I'm just looking for something durable, something that will last and hold up. I love the Stafford Supershirts at JCPenny - they're wrinkle and stain resistant, and have been very durable. Do you know of any other brands that carry something like this? What does your "tough" hubby wear?

My husband is very rough on his clothes, too! He's always had good luck with Lands' End dress shirts, both the oxford button down and the pinpoint.

Lands End items last FOREVER. I have a shirt that is 20 years old! They are DIFFERENT - better cloth, better stitching, better made. Give 1 or 2 a try.

LLBean & Land's End. They are both very good about guaranteeing/replacing their clothes, and they both have wrinkle/stain-resistant options, too. Another option would be Duluth Trading Company, but their clothes might be a little casual for your hubby. They also guarantee everything for wear/tear, and their stuff is great quality!

We have had good luck with Apt 9 shirts from Kohls for my hubby.
Plus you can snatch them up cheap with all their promos.

My husband has that same problem. He likes the shirts at Jos. A. Banks. They just recently had a deal of buy 4 get half off (or something like that). That was about a week ago, so I don't know if it is still going on.

I always used to spend $$$$$ on no-iron dress shirts from Brooks Brothers for my husband, but then a couple of them wore a hole on the crease on the sleeve, after maybe a year or two? So not worth the big bucks! Since then, we have tried LL Bean, Lands End & Eddie Bauer shirts. They've all held up pretty well (no holes), but the Eddie Bauer shirts have held their no-iron finish the best by far.
I am glad you asked this question - it never occurred to me to look at Jos. A. Banks!
