Medieval Times for Young Children?

Just wondering if it's a good idea to bring my three and four and a half year old boys to Medieval Times. I thought it would be fun to do something different and I saw an advertisement on this the other day. Has anyone had a good or bad experience with taking their kids there at this age?

What can I do next?

SHOOT! In reading all of these responses, I am SO BUMMED that we didn't go to Medieval Times instead of that pirate one next door that WE went to with my boys at 3 and 4! They thought it was lame and I couldn't exactly disagree with them. It did not hold their attention.
I was going to tell you not to do Medieval Times based on my experience, but now I'm starting to think that maybe I just need to go to Medieval Times to make up for my bad choice of last year! LOL!
Have fun!

I have a 2.5 and a 4 y/o. We will be going for the third time in a year tonight. They love it and are so excited to go! They'll bring it up at random times and have been playing "knights" ever since the first time. Go!

My friends kids love it. They all have costumes too. She wears a long skirt with a vest over a peasant style blouse, he wears a kilt with a similar shirt, the son wears pants that are similar to normal ones and he wears an off white shirt that is not too fussy, and the daughter wears any skirt and top she wants that is fru fru.

They'll LOVE it.

I went a few years ago and wish I had brought my boys with me.

It's great! They will love it.

They will also like the Renaissance Faire going on for the next few weeks. However, it is a lot of walking so you might want to bring a stroller for the 3 year old. You can get a list of events before you go to see if there are any shows you want to see. They have all sorts of fun shows - magic, jousting - Broone is our favorite show - they have rides, lots of places to buy souvenirs. Lots of people in costume. They have a lot of games that you have to pay extra for - some are for older kids but there is a lot of your kids to do. Have fun!

My kids loved it and my boys were probably that age the first time they went. Lots of action, dramatic but not scary. Plus, no utensils, everyone gets to eat with their hands. Definitely a good experience for us.

I took my boys when they were about 2 and 4. I was shocked at how much they enjoyed it! I usually avoid theme parks and such when they are young, but Medieval Times was perfect for them.

I think the kids will like it, especially being able to eat with your hands and no forks.
You get them excited to root for their color of horse to win.
And make sure you buy the picture they take of your family ;)
