If anyone has had a baby in the last year at Medical City of Dallas, please let me know. My hubby and I are looking into possibly having our next one here but aren't sure. My hubby recently did some clinical rotations at Baylor Grapevine and liked their baby area, so we are trying to get some feedback from moms that delivered at Med City Dallas.

Thank you in advance!!!

What can I do next?

I had my son there almost 2 yrs ago and I have nothing but good things to say about Medical City. The nurses were wonderful and in fact I'm trying for baby # 2 right now and that hospital is the only place I will delivery again. Good luck to you!

I delivered both my children at Medical City and had great experiences both times. I was also on bed rest at the hospital for both pregnancies (6 weeks for my first child, only a week for the second), and that was a good experience as well.

Good Luck!

I had my baby at Medical City in April. I loved the nurses and doctors! They are so helpful, professional, and kind. I would highly recommend this hospital. Absolutely loved the staff!

Oh, and I also had an epidural. It worked great! You actually control how much medicine you recieve. Again, I had a great experience...I hope this helps.

I delivered there 6 years ago, so more than likely my experience would probably be different than yours would be now. I also delivered a baby 2 yrs later at Presby in Dallas and had a much, much better experience. At Medical City my epidural didn't work very well, I couldn't feel anything to push and ended up with an episiotomy. They rushed me at the end because of shift change (8 am) and then once I had my son I sat around for over an hour in the delivery room before someone showed up to take me to my room. The nurse staff was pretty good and knowledgeable, but they woke me up every 2 hours, even if my baby was sleeping to get me to try to feed him... which in retrospect was probably a bit too gung-ho and exhausting for me. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't (I'd go to Presby) Best of luck to you and best wishes...

I had my son there 3 years ago and had the Best experience ever. The nurses were AWESOME, The Hospital was Clean. I had been there for a week due to preterm labor and hypertension. They were going to induce on the Monday after Mother's Day which I ended up going into labor on The Friday before Mother's Day. I had a epidural but had a reaction which gave me muscle pain on both shoulders. I tried to have him vaginally but couldn't feel myself pushing so I my son had fetal distress and ended up having an emergency c-section after 13 hours of labor.
After I had him and we were both in recovery, the nurses were Great as well as when I went into my own room.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hope this help.

I spent my first two trimesters at this hospital but unfortunately could not deliver there do to insurance reasons and switched to Presby.
I would have LOVED to deliver at Medical City. They're doctors were awesome and I still haven't found an OB like I had there.
Oh, BTW the mom who had the bad epidural experience, that could have happened anywhere. I had the same problem when I delivered at Presby of Dallas so you never know.
Good luck with your decision and your new baby!
