Looking for Well Groomed Park for 1St Birthday Party
Doea anyone know of any nice, well-groomed, clean parks where I can host my son's 1st birthday party? I wanted to do it at the Dallas Arboretum, but the site we requested is not avaible due to "Dallas Blooms". Is there anywhere else similar to this park?
A park for kids to run around and for adults to sip wine and chat.

I would check out the parks in Farmers Branch, they do a wonderful job keeping up with the city!

I don't know of any parks like you mentioned, but I'm hosting my son's 1st b-day party at "The Little Gym" They've got wonderful activities to entertain the kids and all the adults have to do is sit back, watch, and enjoy (I don't know about sipping wine though). Anyway, if you want more info, you can email me directly at: ____@____.com, since our kids are similar in age, would you be interested in starting a playdate? Just send me a message if interested, and we can get better acquainted.

We had my 4-year-old son's birthday party at Shivers Park (at Scottish Rite) and it was perfect. The playground is clean and big and the grounds are beautiful. There are lots of benches for grown ups. They'll set up the tables and chairs for you and there is a kitchen and indoor bathrooms on site for you to use. You won't be able to have alcohol and due to privacy, they have some restrictions about how you take pictures but I would highly recommend it. We plan on using it annually. (And it is free!) I'd be happy to answer any questions if you want to email me.

this might be a little odd, but the wine part of your question got me thinking. I don't know that you could drink wine in a public/city park legally. what about a vineyard? there are some nice ones out towards grapevine from what I've heard. the arboretum is a great idea, too bad about the dallas blooms problem. I can't think of another place like the arboretum. hope the vineyard idea is helpful! welcome back to dallas!
