I was wondering if anyone knows of a place I can purchase seashells. I'm actually looking for an English Channel Sea Urchin. My daughter broke my mother-in-laws' and of course it was her favorite! We are hoping to replace it for christmas. I live in Mckinney but I will to drive anywhere in the metroplex to find this! Thanks

What can I do next?

Oddly enough, Walmart has a bunch of seashell stuff in their craft area, although I don't know if there are any sea urchins. Have you thought of buying it online? eBay has a ton of sea urchin autions -- click the following link for an example of one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Beautiful-English-Channel-Sea-Urchin-...

M. - There is a place in Dallas called The Rock Barrel (they are located East of 75 around the Richardson/Dallas border) and they carry all sorts of rocks, beads, etc. They may carry sea shells as well or they may be able to locate it for you. Their phone # is ###-###-#### and the website is http://www.rockbarrell.com/

Good Luck!!

You can try the nature exchange at the Dallas Zoo. The way it works is you bring in things like plants, flowers, shells, etc from your neighborhood and you learn about them from a zoo keeper. You then get points that you can use to exchange for shiny rocks and shells and animal skulls, etc that they have collected. They may have the shell you want and all you have to do is learn to get it!
Otherwise, try googling it, everything is for sale online.
