Looking for Recipes for Slow Cooker

Just yesterday, a friend of mine sent me an email with about 100 crock pot recipe links. The website allrecipes.com has a whole section for slow cookers. It is free and I use it all of the time.

Of course, the typical roast: use, really, any cut of meat and put it in there with a bunch of water (just covering the meat). After a time, add cut onions, carrots, celery, garlic, salt and pepper and some potatoes at the end. Yum!

Also, we do pork barbecue. Put a pork loin in there and cook it in very little water and then pour a huge bottle of whatever sauce you love on top and let it go. We use Dinosaur Sauce from Wegmans. Unbelievable.

We've also done lasagna in there. Layer it the same way you do in a pan but use UNCOOKED noodles. The top isn't crispy like in the oven but still tastes yummy! I usualy take the top off or at least prop it open for the last hour or so so it isn't so soggy.

2 ideas for you:

1. Sweet/sour meatballs-buy packaged meatballs (we like Mama Lucia)...melt 1 sm jar grape jelly w/a jar of chili sauce (find it near ketschup) on the stove-pour over the meatballs & let them slow cook-yum!

2. Put a whole chicken in w/2 cups water & season to taste-sometimes use Montreal Chicken seasoning or lemon pepper or just salt/pepper...after the chicken is cooked, pull out & separate meat from bones-add 1 bag of noodles (we love the Kluski kind!) to the broth-turn up to high & let them cook adding some of the chicken...delicious chicken & noodles & enough meat left for chicken salad or something else later in the week.
