Looking for Pre School in Virginia Beach Area
I am looking into a preschool in the Virginia Beach area that is near the Kempsville area or 10-15 minutes drive from Kempsville. I am also willing to look at schools that are part of a church. My son is not potty trained yet at 2 1/2 yrs old (that we are still trying to learn) so need a school that is willing to teach potty training. Looking for somewhere that has great and patient teachers, school must be clean, and willing to help train with potty trainng. I have never put my child in any kind of school/daycare so I am very particular on who he stays with. What questions do I ask the school? This is all new to me, so if you have any advice that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I took my two girls (4 and 2) to Childtime Learning Center off of Pleasant Valley Road. It was such a great school and they loved it! The director's name is Jenny. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

You might look into Mother's Day Out Preschool. They take two year olds who are not yet potty trained. I would look quickly though because they fill up fast. My son went to summer camp there and had a blast. He is almost 4. They have another location in Great Neck where he attended preschool last fall and it was ok but IMO the Kempsville location has a nicer facility and the teachers were a little better.
Best of luck. Here is a good list of things to look for during your search too:

Finding a Preschool: Questions to Ask
Ten Questions to Ask the School
Searching for a preschool for your child? Here are ten questions Sue Crystal suggests you ask:
1.How long has the school been in existence?
2.What experience do the teachers have?
3.What is the daily routine?
4.What is the parent involvement?
5.Is there time set aside for the parent and teachers to discuss the child?
6.How is discipline handled?
7.Does the school have an outdoor space and how often is it used?
8.Does the school take field trips?
9.What is the vacation and holiday schedule?
10.What is the policy for taking care of sick or injured children?
Four Questions to Ask Yourself
When visiting a preschool, rely on what you see. Here are four questions to ask yourself:
1.Are the children safe, busy, and happy?
2.Does the school have a lively, creative order to it?
3.Are the rooms decorated with teacher art or children's art? (Children's art decorating the room is a sign the teachers value what the children create.)
4.Do the teachers seem to like what they are doing?

We loved Courthouse Montessouri off of Lynnhaven Parkway. Our son was not completely potty trained when he started there and they did a great job with that as well as other skills.
