I'm looking for inexpensive ways to entertain my 1.5 year old this summer. We've thought of Storytime at the local library, indoor play at the Altamonte Mall and the waterpark but that is all. Any other ideas?
Have you joined a moms club? I know oviedo has a chapter. you can look on www.momsclub.org to locate them. what about the park and recreation in oviedo? they have a pool and other activities...thats all I got. Then there's the free movies at the Regal movie theater if your child will sit and watch.
Look into trial classes @ my gym, gymboree, etc. Go to one a week. My Gym has open play, as does Tot to Trot. Maybe ask if there are other mother's on here locally who want to start a playgroup. Also, Barnes & Noble has a train table in the children's area.
Parentsconnect.com gives a list of daily, and ongoing activities locally and is a great resource.

Sliderz is right there in Oviedo. My nephew is 1 and he loves it. Barnes and Noble does story time. You'll have to check the times on their website. Downey and Capehart Parks have the splash pad. The one at Capehart is free (at least since last time I was there in May).
Do you have a boy or a girl? My sister and I do a lot of activities with our kids and some friends, even if it is in a home. I have a 2 year old girl, my sis. has two boys 4 and 1 and our friends' children range from 3 months through 5 year old. E-mail me if you would like to meet with us sometime. We like to go to Sliderz, so maybe we can meet there sometime. My sis lives in Oviedo.
