My stepmom gave me some snacks that she received from a friend. It is sooo good, but we dont have the recipe. It tastes very similar to cracker jacks. The ingredients I can tell are fritos, cashews, peanuts, carmel or corn syrup? Is anyone familiar with this? I would love the recipe it will make a great Christmas gift for teachers. Thanks!

I just found this... seems like it might be similar: And now I'll have to make it too ;) !!

Frito and Caramel Bites

(the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips are optional)
super size bag of fritos scoops
c. corn syrup
c. sugar
c. peanut butter
c. milk chocolate chips
c. butterscotch chips
Spread half of the fritos scoops on a jelly roll pan. Heat up the syrup and sugar until it is bubbling. Remove it from the heat. Add the peanut butter and mix it until it’s melted. Pour half of the mixture over the fritos scoops. Layer the rest of the fritos scoops on top of that mess and pour the rest of the hot mixture over the top of that. Melt the chocolate chips and dribble it over the top. Then melt the butterscotch chips and dribble it over the top.

Sounds like you found the recipe so I have a different suggestion. Teachers get overloaded with sweets and baked goods on the last two days of school before vacation. I would suggest bringing it in earlier so they can enjoy your treat by itself when they are trying to get through the crazy month of December.

Was it loose kind of like a granola, or more like clusters? I've heard of those things together with like those chow mien noodles or popcorn or pretzels but never heard of fritos. Sounds interesting, and yummy!

anyways, I found this, kind of similar, you can probably rework the recipe to include the fritos:
