The kids are staying with their grandparents this weekend and my husband and I would like to go out to a night club, perhaps to dance or just listen to some good music. We are still fairly new to the area and I was wondering if anyone knew of any place. Thanks for any responses.

So What Happened?

I hated Martini Park, it was so crowded (literally), no where to sit, a very small dance area, we had to wait a long time around the bar to finally get a drink. The area where it is located is nice and there is plenty of security, but I was not impressed at all with the club itself. We went to Carson's and that was a lot better, 2 very roomy dance areas, the drink service was better, the seat area was nice and so where the bathrooms, and the air conditioner was cooler, I wouldn't mind going there again. Thanks to everyone that responded.

I know some of you will think I party all the time but here goes.......This is our 20th year of marriage and we have always had date night at least once a week. We enjoy going to dance clubs, happy hour, ballgames, meeting new people and being together.

We are regulars at Martini Park at the Shops of Legacy. The band starts at 8. It does get crowded and there is usually a wait to get in after 8. Ladies get in free and men are charged $10. They have 3 bars, it is a clean place, lot of security personnel, dance floor and FUN. There are some nice people there. It is clean. The later you go, the more crowded and wilder it gets. I personally love it there.

Carsons is a little further south off the tollway and Trinity Mills. They usually have good music and more than 1 dance floor. I don't care for it as well because it gets smokey inside. Also, I am a red wine only drinker and the choices there are not good. You can still have a good time.

Memphis in Addison is a very small club, very smokey but has a band and is fun. I don't know you personally but this crowd sometimes can surprise you with how open people are so if that bothers you, don't go.

Hotel Zaza off McKinney has a great bar and it is a good people watching place. The outdoor area by the pool is very social as well. In the winter, they cover the pool and it is a part of the club floor!

Ghostbar at the W hotel is nice. It gets VERY crowded and it is pricey.

Sullivan's is located right by Carsons and they have a room called Ringside where there is usually a live band and dancing.

If you like to watch sports at all.....Fox Grille at the Shops of Legacy is very nice. Depending on when you are there, it is family friendly as well.

Deep Ellum has some fun places but you really have to be careful there.

Have a great time!!

Susan

I don't know what area of town you are wishing to go to, but I recommend Martini Park in The Shops on Legacy in Plano. Also Carson's on the tollway in North Dallas is a nice spot also.

Glass Catus at the Gaylord Resort is my vote! Upscale, great atmosphere, huge deck, its on Lake Grapevine, so we were there for the sunset and it was beautiful! Have a great time!

Carsons on the tollway is great. It's a pretty big club it never feels too crowded. We don't go out that often but this is alays my first choice.
