Hi Mamas,

My husband and I are planning a "Parents' Night Out" for us and about 5-6 other couples and are looking for a fun place to go with this group. We would like dinner to be a part of the evening but would also like to include some sort of entertainment like music, dancing, etc. We want a place where we can talk with the other couples and hang out for a few hours - so nothing too loud but definitely a fun atmosphere. Also, most of us are on a budget so nothing too expensive. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

What can I do next?

We have evenings like this about once a month and really like Sullivan's (Trinity Mills/Tollway) for dinner/dancing. It's nice because you can have a nice quiet dinner and then go into the dance part and they have a good live band, etc.

Have fun!!

I didn't look to see where you are located. The Shops of Legacy in Plano has good restaurants and things to do.

Loft 610 is a nice restaurant and night club...however it will get a little loud as the night goes on and you might not like that. You can dance there and have a good time.

We like Nylo. The hotel located on Headquarters/Preston. The set up is similar to Hotel Zaza downtown. HUGE outside area by the pool and fire with music and bar. Inside has some nice places to sit as a group and enjoy a cocktail or so. They also have good food and restaurant area. I've not seen people dancing at Nylo, maybe I was just not paying attention but we have been there until the wee hours and I don't recall seeing dancing.

Watters Creek is a nice area. More family friendly and not so couple friendly but they do have music on Fri and Sat. Cru bar is nice.

We've been invited to Club 300 or something like that in Addison. It is supposeldy a bar type atmosphere and they have bowling. The website looked nice...we were unable to attend.

Whatever you do, Have fun!!

Check out Splitsville in Arlington (I think it's Arlington). It is a super cool bowling place. It's nothing like any other bowling venue. Sounds perfect for what you are looking for.
