I love Dr. Ensley. He is on county line road. Ensleyobgyn.com
I also agree with the post about Dr. Stuhledreher, actually any of the OB/GYNs at Community North are great. It would be worth the drive!
Good Luck!

I'm a labor and delivery nurse in the Community Hospital system. I really like Dr Tessa Asdell and Dr Lori Davidson on the Southside. They deliver at Community South and SFS.

I LOVE Dr Cathy Carr on the East side. She takes time with you and is a wonderful and excellent physician. She and her partners(Dr Miser, Dr Fraley, and Dr Brown), who are all great, deliver at Community East and North. Personally I've delivered both my kids at East and would have it no other way.

K.,

I too have been to a few great OB/GYN's on the southside as I've lived here my whole life. Southside OB/GYN is great in St. Francis South hospital---Dr. Perkins is wonderful!! I went to him for 3-4 yrs!

I recently needed both a family dr and OB/GYN and found Dr. Mary Hensley in Fraklin is wonderful as well. She's with American Health Network and her no is ###-###-####. She's is younger with a child of her own and keeps up on all the latest "women" topics!

Good luck! My suggestion would be to visit a few and choose the one you have the BEST feeling about----makes you the most comfortable!

Dr. Lewis as previously mentioned is part of Southside OB/Gyn,though Lewis is in Shelbyville and that's a bit of a jog, there is one at the St. Francis South location on Emerson and Stop 11.
Dr. Lupton was formally my OB (I don't think he does typical GYN stuff) but they have some great docs there. I can also highly highly recommend my own, who is on the north side, Pratima Stuhldreher at Clearvista Women's Center, at COmmunity North just at 82nd and Castleton. I have had her as my doc for about 8 years now (less Dr. Lupton who I had to switch to because my insurance at the time of my pregnancy wouldn't cover my doctor) and I don't know what I would do without her! I can't remember Southside OB GYN's number, but can tell you Clearvista is at ###-###-####. She is taking new patients.

I live in Greenwood but go to Shelbyville to see Dr. Lloyd Lewis. He is AWESOME!! I am high risk and my very first appt he talked to me about a procedure and set up for me to see a specialist. He wanted me seen at 8 weeks so that at 12 I could have the procedure done. Normally the specialist don't see you until 12 weeks but Dr. Lewis got it done! Yes, It is a lil drive but sooooo worth it!!!! I am actually going to deliver on Thursday!!

Have your tried Beech Grove OB/GYN? It is now known as Womans Health Partnership. Dr. Scott Bowers is excellent, I have been going there for over 9 years. Their phone number is ###-###-####, and their website is whp.com. Their office is located right by St. Francis South on Emerson.

My OB/GYN is Dr. Rothenberg @ the Coleman Center for Women @ IU Hosp, but they also have a clinic @ US 31 & Banta Road thru this mth ( I think ) then they will be moving into a new office @ 31 & Epler, behind the Walgreens. He is great, very personable, but also very dedicated. Susan Bilbrey is the nurse practioner @ IU & she is also great. The phone # is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I'm not sure what kind of insurance you have, but Associates for Women's Health is great! It's an all female practice. It's at 65 south and Main street in Greenwood. Sorry if that's where you already go. My experience there was wonderful!!!
