i'm located in indianapolis indiana and am looking for an ob-gyn on the southside of the city.
i'm very picky and don't want to go to just any DR. without a referal from another patient or friend.
(i live in the southport/greenwood area, if that helps...)
thank you so much in advance for your advice.

I can refer the Associates for Women's health 92 South Park Blvd (behind Sam's in Greenwood-by 65). I have seen Dr Borhan. Now she is a DO but Board certified. ( I am done having kids-We have 5, but always look for board certified physicians) I have a neighbor who goes there and sees one of the Doctors, but do not remember her name, my neighbor is expecting her 4th and has used this doctors office for all of her pregnancies. Their web site is www.afshealth.com

The doctor's office is actually at St. Francis hospital (or attached to it)

I just refered Dr. Jeannette McDonald. She is fabulious. She is not afraid to order tests until she finds the problem. The whole clinic there seems honestly to be interested in you as person. Good luck with the fertility!

I am not sure how far south you are referring to but I have a GREAT OB/GYN practice that I use in Shelbyville, IN. My doctor is Dr. Lloyd Lewis and he is part of the Southeast OB/GYN office. The other doctor in the practice is very good as well and I HIGHLY recommend them for pregnancy issues and fertility issues--they are very well connected and very thorough. I have had several friends that went through Dr. Lewis' office for fertility issues. I have used Dr. Lewis' office for both of my children and ever since I moved to Indiana (5 years), I found them to be thorough, knowledgable and able to explain every detail in laymen's terms so that I understood. Also, they take the time to get to know you, your history and they truly listen to ALL of your questions and provide answers (I know because I am an inquisitive person--I would exhaust just about anyone with my questions but they were always patient with me and answered everything). They don't rush you in and out of your appointment like you are a number. The best part is that in the 5 years of appointments I have had (once a month for each pregnancy, yearly check-ups in between, and every other week in the final months of my pregnancies) I only had to wait a half an hour once, every other time I waited a max of 10 minutes to be seen.

Good luck with your search and I hope that all goes well for you and your family.
