Hi Moms-

I really need some guidance on a great OBGYN in the Keller area. (I am willing to travel within reason.) I have lived in Keller for almost 2 years now and have seen three different doctors all with dissapointing results! I have found that the doctors in the area are so busy that you are treated like a number not a human being. Right now I am early in a pregnancy (about 6-8 weeks) and my current doctors staff is watching my HCG levels and actually had the nerve to tell me not to "throw a party" because my levels are to the low side right now and need to be monitored. Talk about terrible bed-side manner!!! UGGHHH. Anyway...I've heard Dr. Flowers is great but she is not taking new patients so ANY other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!

What can I do next?

I love Dr. Troy New. He is in the professional building at Baylor Grapevine. He is really nice and has great bedside manner. I never felt uncomfortable with him once. Good luck!

Someone mentioned Dr. New, I agree, he is great! In the same office as Dr. New, is Dr. Rost - he is fantastic. He delivered my son and I worked in that office for over a year as an office nurse. I only switched b/c of the weird working there factor. Baylor Grapevine is the BEST place to have a baby - I work on the mom-baby unit and I have had 2 of my kids there. Try Dr. Rost or New, I think you will be really happy with either of them.

Dr. Joseph Carlos is WONDERFUL!! He delivered my last 3 children. However, he is at Medical City in Dallas.

Oh...my friend has a great OB/GYN in NRH. Her name is Dr. Lastrap. I'll have to find out her first name though.

Let me know.

Love, love, love Dr. Jonathan Snead. He's a good, Christian man who will be there to deliver your baby even if he's not on call (as long as he's not out of town - which I don't think is often). I just gave birth in April and while he was out of town for my delivery (which he felt REALLY bad about) his substitute was great and Dr. Snead came to see me in the hospital on the Monday. He's on Heritage Trace Parkway and his number is ###-###-####. Gloria at the front desk is just delightful and they are taking new patients. You didn't say whether you preferred a male or female ob/gyn. He does deliveries at North Hills in their brand new labor and delivery center. It was very nice and the nursing staff was top notch. Someone else posted about Dr. LaStrap - her first name is Rhodesia (or something really close to that).

Good luck and I hope your pregnancy goes well.
