Bedtime with the Beatles or Disney has some really great lullaby CDs (think they are posted on itunes too).

We also have always used the Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics for my first son. It's nice and relaxing and we adults like it too. We use a white noise machine for my second son and humidifiers for each of them in the winter. The white noise machine we use is the sound sleeper from Babies R Us. It's 19.99. I like that we can have it plugged in going all night long so it helps in the morning noise.

Hi, from day one, we have used Enya's cd, 'A Day without Rain'. I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. My daughter is now almost 7 and still listens to it to fall asleep and my son also. We also have fans in both of their rooms for white noise. The cd is very calming and relaxing and I enjoy it if I'm laying with the children at all. The cd is a range of songs and sounds, but all calming. Good luck in your search.

African Lullaby CD available at a little boutique in my neighborhood called The Red Balloon Co. and I am sure online as well. It's very relaxing and soothing.

Are you looking for music or white noise?

We use the Baby Einstein's Lullaby Classics. It is approximately 37 minutes of classical music. It's very soothing to both the baby and his parents. It has been part of our bedtime routine since day 1.

If you are interested in white noise, you can go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and purchase a radio that has 'nature sounds'. Ours has a timer for 10, 30, and 60 minutes so that you don't have to hear the ocean (rainforest, thunderstorm, etc.) all night long.

Some of them are so lame and annoying! I really like Bob Carlisle's Butterfly Kisses & Bedtime Prayers. I enjoy it as well as my 2 1/2 year old son-it's very sweet. Some of the songs are a bit Christian-What Child is This, Jesus Loves Me. If you are interested I could burn one for you, and drop it in the mail, or if you are not too far from Palatine, drop it off.

Good luck!
