Does any have a favorite CD they play when they put their kids to bed? I'm looking for a new one. I'm getting a bit tired of the one we've had for 2 years!!

What can I do next?

I bought Elizabeth Mitchell's CD title 'you are my little bird', which the entire family LOVES, even my husband commented on what a good cd it is. She has one out also called 'you are my sunshine', but I think the little bird one is the best. You can buy them both at amazon.com or land of nod.com . My 2 year old son goes to bed & naps with this cd every day and listens quietly.

I have one that I got at Target for my son when he was just a baby (3 1/2 now) and I never get tired of it. It is no longer sold though. I could make a copy for you if you want.

Not really a lullaby, but mom will enjoy it, too, and it's mello enough... Curious George soundtrack by Jack Johnson.

Hi A.,

I see you have allot of responses already. We alternate between Kenny G's Greatest Hits and Kenny Loggins - Return to Pooh Corner.

Now when I hear Kenny G on the radio it makes me very sad to see how fast time goes by. Our daughter is already 11 mos.

Good Luck.

We use The Planet Sleeps. It puts our 20 month old to sleep and she now sings along as she is drifting off.

My son used to love Linda Ronstadt's Dedicated to the One I love. Now he listens to the baby einstein CD (Concert for little ears).

Enjoy.

I like Ralph Covert, and it's hard to go wrong with any of the Songs for Little People collection.

But my favorite lulluby CD was given to us as a gift many years ago - Priscilla Herdman, Stardreamer. She has a gorgeous voice and the songs are all classic folk and children's songs, acoustic arrangements. There's nothing to annoy an adult in this CD. Her versions of Goodnight Irene and Waltzing With Bears are amazing - and I still sing my kids' favorite, "Matthew, Mark, Luke & John" from the CD, when one of them needs comfort.

We used the Lullaby CD from Target by the cards, where you can push the buttons to hear the songs.

I have two boys (6 and 4) that share a room. They both enjoy Veggie Tales. We have Juniors Bedtime Songs and there is also a Rock-a-Bye Veggie CD for bedtime. I've been using them for years and we're not tired of them yet. I don't recomend changing too much, too often, there is a comfort in farmiliarity that children need...especially when you're trying to get them to settle down for bedtime.
God Bless, J.

I use the Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics - A Concert for Little Ears. It's 37 minutes of soft, relaxing classical music.

The one that I play every day for my daughter during quiet time is called Lifescapes Lullabies. I love it and most of the time it will put my almost three year old daughter to sleep. I like that at the end of the CD there are different sounds - running water, heartbeat and womb. We've played it for her since she was a baby and it's very calming for me as well. :-)

It may sound funny, but I taught in a preschool and the children where all 2-3 years old. They LOVED to sleep to Jack Johnson, plus we teachers enjoyed listening to it too. The children would sleep 2-3 hours easily with this CD. Good luck!

We have a Beatles Lullaby CD that my daughter loves. She also enjoys the Metallica Lullaby CD too. (Both are really soothing, believe it or not!)
