We are looking for a church near Allen, Texas. (within 15 minutes) We want it to be medium-sized and either Baptist or non-denominational. We want there to be a huge focus on the children's ministry and to offer women's and men's opportunities as well. We are hoping to find a more contemporary woship and for the pastor to be solid and dynamic. Please let me know if you guys know of a wonderful place to worship!
Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco is fabulous. We are non-denominational but on the edge of being a large church. You can't get much more solid of a pastor than Chuck Swindoll unless you want Billy Graham! Just kidding! They do not have a strictly contemporary service but it is usually a blend or different from Sunday to Sunday.

WE have a great children's ministry! And a MOMS Connection (like Mothers of Preschoolers). And a Men's Fraternity Bible study on Saturday mornings 7 a.m.

We go to Cottonwood Creek Baptist and we truly love it there. I have heard good things about Four Corners on 121, it is non-denominational I believe.
We would love for you to visit Cottonwood. This church has met all our expectations and then some. I love how real our pastor is and he does not 'dumb' down the sermons....he makes me think and I love that.
The children's ministry is strong and has great leadership---I am impressed with the structure for each age.
Hi A.! Our family attends Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church at 121/Stacy in Allen. I actually worked for the Children's Minister, Charlie McAllister for a year and he's awesome! His wife, Becky, and three of their four sons are also involved (their oldest is at A&M) and the entire staff plan things for children of all ages!
If you'd like to visit, we are in the Harrison/Hillhouse Sunday School class that meets at 11 a.m. upstairs. Konda Mehman is in charge of the nursery age children like your little guy is and she'd be great to speak to about the nursery. I will say we just redid the entire children's area and it's awesome!

Hi A....I go to First Baptist Church of Allen and I LOVE it. I have 3 children: 18, 10 & 3...My 18 year has recently moved to NJ, but he really enjoyed the teen group. Both of my daughters LOVE their groups. They belong to choir, a missions group, Bible drill (memorizing bible verses and learning how to find them in the Bible). I am involved in the choir also and help with Sunday School and other nursery times. I know there is alot to offer to both men and women.
