Hello Ladies,

I am wondering if any of you mommies out there became pregnant by ovulating late in your cycle? I am now four days late and preggo test came up negative yesterday (perhaps with late ovulation the hormones won't show yet?). It is possible that I am pregnant only because my husband and I thought we were in clear (pretty much) since it was the last week of my cycle. Hhhhmmm????

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Finally got my period 8 days late! This is very, very uncommon for me. Lesson learned, don't rely too much on the rythmn method. My husband is scheduled for his "snip snip" surgery next week. This will take care of future baby scares.

I don't know about when I ovulated, but I have had the experience of thinking we were in the clear. We call him Levi.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are! I'm going on day number 4 and the test came up negative too. I've got one and my fiance and I weren't planning on having another one anytime soon. We'll see if it shows up, or if I have an in the clear arriving in 9 months! Good luck!

A good friend of mine has 3 "in the clears" at home :)
If you don't want more, I'd suggest another type of birth control than thinking you were in the clear! :)

Hi,
I had difficulty getting pregnant, so I was using an ovulation kit. My first pregnacy I ovulated on day 8 of my cycle and my second pregnancy, I hadn't ovulated at all. Turns out I ovulated after the time period being tested by the kit. The doctor thought about day 19. So, you can't go by counting days. It may be fairly reliable for some people, but not all.

By the way, when I ovulated late, my pregnancy test didn't turn positive until about 6 days after when I should have got my period.

Good luck,
K.
